I remembering seeing a plain white Mickey Mouse figurine that someone used as a 'guestbook', they had their guests sign the figurine....does anyone know where I can find one of these? We only have 18 guests so I think this is a great idea!

I have been searching for the past 3 hours and have come up empty handed :crazy2:

I can't post links yet. Go to the Disneystore . com and search for blank vinylmation figure. It came up pretty easily for me.

I ordered mine from the Art of Disney in DTD and had is shipped to my resort so I could get it when I arrived (and I didn't need to pay shipping this way) Apparently, the stores often run out of the white ones, so it is good if you can do it ahead.

Here is mine in all it's glory:

I want the white, but I'm worried about finger prints and smudging. How did it turn out with the signatures?

I love the idea of using the vinylmation as a guest book. I think my guest count is going to up around 80 for my wedding and I don't think there will be enough room for everyone's signature. Has anyone had this issue? Did you still use the vinylmation?

the FH came up with this same idea on his own! we are getting 2, i think we'll do something - maybe a bouquet and a bout painted on? - to make one be a groom and one a bride! he LIVES for vinylmation, so this would be something we will display somewhere amongst our collections - much more so, i anticipate, than a book or what not. although i like the whole "sign the picture mat" thing too..

There is no smudging on mine at all! We used high quality permanent markers, which is probably what helped. I love the way it turned out!

I had 17 people at my reception, and mine isn't full at all. People wrote long things on mine as well. I think if you had two, and had people just sign, you could probably do it (especially since many people will probably sign together if they are in couples).

I thought so too, but I've never seen a Sharpie with a silver body. :confused3 That's why I was curious as to what brand they were.

They actually are not sharpies. They are by BIC and are called "Mark It". They were much cheaper, and I liked the way they wrote better (I thought there was less smudge and the point was finer). I think they were under $5 for a pack of about 10 colours.

I didn't think so! I've been tempted to buy those BIC markers before...glad to know you liked them. Thank you for the information!
