DH & I wanted to have some mickey ears waiting in the room for our DDs from 'mickey'. I wrote the concierge and they said the gold ones don't come in child sizes, only black or pink do. DDs are 4 and 1.5. They're not going to be wearing them around the park, just more of a souveneir...should we just get the special gold ones that we wanted to get in the first place, or would they be way too big?

I believe the above quote (from your own post) answers the question.

If they are only to look at - I would buy the larger size. My DS 7 fits in the adult size - the child size is very small. If you think that once they see them they will want to wear it immediately - then it looks like you're going to have to order the child one.

If they are going to wear the hats at all, the gold hats will be to big. They are HUGE! They are too big for even some adults. The gold hats are a little bit bigger then the black adult hats.

Just a question, do you have to be in concierge to have the ears set up to be put in your room?? Or if I am not in concierge should I call someone else to get this arranged, and who would that be??

How about ordering them to be shipped to your home before the trip? That's what I did for us.

I bought the gold ones for souvies for my 3 kids - 8,5 and 3. I know they wont wear them much. I want to know who dropped the ball in making the gold ears in children's sizes? What were they thinking!?!

I can't figure out why WDW wouldn't have golden ears in children's sizes when DLR has them in boatloads. :confused3 Same hat, just a different embroidery on the front.

Uh oh. I've spoken to 3 different planners at the Poly, and each time told them I wanted the gold ears in both adult, and child sizes. Not once have I been told that there are no child sizes. I hope this doesn't get messed up. :(

We bought gold ears for everyone in our party aged 38, 27, 13, 8, and 2. They fit us all. It was a tad big for my 2 year old, but not much! They give you bobby pins if you want to wear them also.
