Mickey Bars on European Sailings?

Do the European sailings have Mickey bars onboard? Not sure if they are available in Europe and are restocked at the foreign ports. I doubt there is room to put a whole summer season of worth of Mickey bars in the freezer of the Dream at the transatlantic sailing. Just curious since it’s my favorite dessert onboard 😊

I checked with friends who were on a Norway DCL cruise last September. At least two of the friends had one for dessert at least two times! I hope you are as lucky!

In the past, there were Mickey bars at the beginning of the season. By the end of the season, since there wasn't a provider in Europe, they were serving "regular" ice cream bars. When we took the westbound TA several years ago, they only had the regular bars. When we arrived at Castaway Cay, the ship that called there just prior to us had dropped off a delivery of Mickey bars. CMs walked around handing them out during the day to pretty much everyone.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking would happen since they don't have access to their regular US supply chain. I know when we were on the Dream in January we were speaking with Gerald the host in Remy and he said they were working hard to line up suppliers for their food needs too. We sail July 22nd so I will report back.

I was on the same cruise and also got Mickey Bars on that cruise. That was second to last cruise so maybe they’ve realised they need more than in previous years!

Disneyland Paris (with much fanfare) started selling Mickey Premium Bars within the past year. Perhaps DCL will be able to obtain them from the same supplier.
But are they the same as the us version?
I mean almost all other brand name products have country specific recipies.

If Uncle Sam's Navy could keep our carriers (5,000 sailors) supplied with "American Food" for over 30 days in the South Pacific, I'm sure DCL can get Mickey Bars shipped to Europe... :D It's only about a 12 day trip for a freighter.

Here’s hoping they get restocked at our Cherbourg stop if they are out 😊
Not likely. It's a Sunday and everything is closed (which is a whole other gripe, but I already made my feelings about that known in another thread) and it's only our second stop after embarkation so I doubt they will need much in the way of restocking after the previous day in Southampton which is a pretty big port so they will likely have a lot provisions available.

In September 2019, we were on the last Europe-based cruise before the transatlantic back to the US, and we had Mickey Bars more than once. :)

Wishing you luck and Mickey Bars! :mickeybar:mickeybar:mickeybar

We did an 11 night in Europe last summer and there was no shortage of Mickey bars. We sailed close to the end of the Europe season.

It being a Sunday isn't going to have an impact on logisitical/technical services at the port. If the ship is supposed to be restocked at Cherbourg that day it will be although as the previous reply said, as the second stop it's unlikely the ship will plan to get anything but fuel.

I hear you though on the Sunday frustration. We docked in Cozumel on a Sunday and were pretty much forced to do a Disney excursion because otherwise everything was closed.
