So a few months ago, Andy was nice enough to "play Mickey" and send my kids a postcard. Turns out my son (age 5) is a natural correspondant (where did that come from I don't know, I've given up even pretending I send out Christmas cards) and immediately wanted to return Mickey's note. So he drew a picture of Mickey and Minnie and dictated a letter.

We told him we'd mail it, so we did - I mailed it off to DCL. We wrote on the letter our travel dates and our stateroom number (I sort of figured the magic might happen and Mickey might have a picture waiting in the stateroom, but didn't say anything to anyone because sometimes the magic happens, and sometimes it doesn't). Today, the mail came and Mickey sent an 8x10 of him and Minnie. We fly out Saturday for our Wonder cruise, so the timing is perfect.

Thanks Andy.

Hey that is great have a great cruise.... Only DCl and Andy........

My daughter had a school assignment to write on "The Ideal Vacation, real or imagined." Can you guess what she wrote about?

I was amazed--she wrote about the boarding process and arriving in the cabin, up to the time the ship sails, and ended with a comment that "then the fun really begins." Interestingly, all the part about boarding, etc. was very positive. I sent a copy to DCL (never hurts to let them know what their young passengers are saying), and we also received a thank you letter and autographed picture.

DCL is great!

Just goes to show,

There's nobody quite like The Mouse!

And just think that if Comcast succeeds in "buying" Disney, you won't recieve a photo, just a big wopping increase in your cable bill.

Don't know about that, we just got a letter from Comcast letting us know they were able to increase our bandwidth and weren't charging for us....better service, same money. We aren't too upset with Comcast right now. Oh, and our cable bill went down when Comcast bought our cable provider - and we don't have nearly the spotty reliability we used to have. Comcast's customer service and tech support people have been knowledgable and pleasant whenever I've needed to talk to them.

They haven't sent me any photos of Mickey Mouse, though.
