I honestly wasn’t impressed…
I enjoyed goofys kitchen (dinner) last year way more… (and I won’t do story tellers again)
It’s just less fun and energetic at storytellers… (I already had a bit that over the moon great experience from a thanksgiving character dining experience a coupe yearns ago but I though it was because I was alone and not a 100%fit at that time and maybe because it was thanksgiving dinner…
But this years breakfast felt exactly the same way…)
The whole experience feels just like they try to be a bit more „upscale dinging“ compared to Goofys…
which they obviously are and I know some prefere that…
But when I when I do a character breakfast experience I want a fun experience with lots of character interactions…
Maybe my expectations were to high after a great dinner at goofys last year but still even though I knew storytellers is different and less crazy it didn’t quite meet my expectations)
Food was great …ambience was great and waiters and service were good too…
But we had bad luck with character interactions… we stayed for about 2h and barely met the 5 characters once during that time… (we met one character twice) They do kind of a march all together every half an hour or so. We experienced about 4 of them but a couple of the characters always stayed in the middle area or somewhere else and didn’t do the whole circle. For one march only one character walked past our table because the others interacted somewhere else…
That‘s why I say: bad luck… if the characters had stayed close to our table goofing around it probably would have been a different experience…
And when the characters stopped at our table it was really only taking a pictures (in an efficient way, regular poses) and not much else which is ok, but I expected a bit more (we were 2 adults wearing Disney stuff and chip ’dale hats so we hoped for some additional interactions with them or at least some more fun pictures)
(The characters stayed longer at some tables so it might really been bad luck or bad table placement for us or that we were 2 adults…but that was my experience)
It was a completely different experience compared to last year at goofys which was way better than what we had hoped …with so much more interactions at the table (all of the characters stopped multiple time sat our table and they all marched though the restaurant multiple times)
I’d personally say…:
If you want to spend a fun morning/evening with character interactions or just watching characters or taking pictures of them marching around while you wave with napkins and having some breakfast while doing so I‘d say do goofys.
If you want a nice breakfast without to many distractions with some character interactions as a plus then storytellers is great. I‘d even say it might even be a good idea for kids when you don’t wanna go completely crazy and overstimulate them already for breakfast but still be able to meet the characters for a nice photo…without waiting endlessly in the parks…
Oh and there were a couple of families in their matching pajamas for sure…
