I’m sure I’ll get tomatoes thrown at me,
but eating with strangers in their PJ’s just isn’t appealing to me.

You get your own table. I think evilmommie just meant you're in a dining room with people in their jammiesWait...you have to eat with others
So if I and my wife are going its not us at a table....we are paying like 70+ bucks and we don't even get our own table?
Ok just making sure because I know some of dessert party's they do this...and to be honest not a fan of that but at least the show distracts you...here would be awkward to be with most others eating in PJsYou get your own table. My husband and I just went to it this morning and we had our own table.Wait...you have to eat with others

That's fair. It was our very first character dining experience so we really enjoyed it, but also I don't think we would do it again because of the price. But it was enjoyable for good food and some nice character photosI have a reservation for this, but I think I’m going to cancel. I’m having a hard time justifying the cost of some of Disney’s buffets since the recent price increases. Namely at Storyteller’s & Goody’s kitchen. I just can’t justify paying $160 for 2 adults to eat breakfast, even if the characters are wearing cute pajamas.
Finally got a reservation for next week, a little earlier than I would have liked. Will still keep an eye out.
I have done Plaza Inn before and didn’t like the canteen style. I like that at Storytellers they have started to change the characters outfits. Never done Goofys Kitchen before as I’ve heard the food is not good.
And yes you get your own table.
From pictures, the only people in PJs are in Disney-sold onesies or families in matching Disney and/or Christmas PJs, like what you see on the cruise ships at the holidays. I don’t think anyone’s wearing random pajamas to brunch… it’s a pretty curated look.Uh yeah. Didn’t mean you’d have to sit with strangers.Either way, I don’t wanna see Uncle Bob in his funky-pilled-up-PJ-bottoms.
We went in Sept 2024 and were worried something similar would happen to us since we were only a part of 3 sitting next to some large parties. One of the first characters we saw had to turn around and go to the backroom right before it was our turn too! Luckily we ended up getting plenty of time with the characters and still had lots of fun. It is definitely on our to-do list for next time. It’s not the restaurant, it’s whoever is playing the characters. We went to Goofy’s Kitchen last Thanksgiving and were seated near a large group with tons of kids. Whenever the characters stopped at their table, they’d spend several minutes with them - until their handler would chase them away and we’d merely get a quick wave.
It was obvious that the party had been there awhile (filthy table that had been cleared of plates), so when the characters made their second rotation and did the same thing again, we were increasingly frustrated Now, my weakness is that I don’t speak up… but thankfully the family at the table adjacent to us did and we finally got some attention on the next rotation. Of course, that didn’t stop some of the kids from that large party running over to our table… but I digress.
