Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party at Storytellers

Wait...you have to eat with others

So if I and my wife are going its not us at a table....we are paying like 70+ bucks and we don't even get our own table?

You get your own table. I think evilmommie just meant you're in a dining room with people in their jammies :).
Ok just making sure because I know some of dessert party's they do this...and to be honest not a fan of that but at least the show distracts you...here would be awkward to be with most others eating in PJs

I have a reservation for this, but I think I’m going to cancel. I’m having a hard time justifying the cost of some of Disney’s buffets since the recent price increases. Namely at Storyteller’s & Goody’s kitchen. I just can’t justify paying $160 for 2 adults to eat breakfast, even if the characters are wearing cute pajamas.

That's fair. It was our very first character dining experience so we really enjoyed it, but also I don't think we would do it again because of the price. But it was enjoyable for good food and some nice character photos 😊

Yeah, we’ve been going there for years. Some visits were better than others, but it was pretty solid. And it was always expensive, but lately they’ve just bumped it a little too high for my liking. Especially when I can still get the Plaza Inn breakfast buffet at a much lower price. Then I can use the extra money I saved on something important like my 1 millionth cute Disney sweatshirt.

Finally got a reservation for next week, a little earlier than I would have liked. Will still keep an eye out.

I have done Plaza Inn before and didn’t like the canteen style. I like that at Storytellers they have started to change the characters outfits. Never done Goofys Kitchen before as I’ve heard the food is not good.

And yes you get your own table.

avoid hearsay - they will allow you to peak at the buffet in Goofy’s Kitchen. The food is pretty much the same as Storyteller’s; it use to be that the menu at Goofy’s catered to children whereas Storyteller’s a more mature diner… but not anymore. They’re nearly identical these days, especially the breakfast. Storytellers has a much smaller buffet area (it was mostly menu service until recently) and select items they bring to you upon request but that’s about it.

The food offered at Disney is very consistent, for better or worse.

Uh yeah. Didn’t mean you’d have to sit with strangers. 🤪 Either way, I don’t wanna see Uncle Bob in his funky-pilled-up-PJ-bottoms.
From pictures, the only people in PJs are in Disney-sold onesies or families in matching Disney and/or Christmas PJs, like what you see on the cruise ships at the holidays. I don’t think anyone’s wearing random pajamas to brunch… it’s a pretty curated look.

I went and tried this for the first time

Food was good, nothing amazing but not bad but for the price I think this place is insaneeeeeeeeee.

The line moves slower then most rides and they just need a better system, mainly its the people at the end ordering something holding up the line for everyone else. They need a way to line people up for that or let you walk around them in some way because for the price you should be able to get up and done it twice but not have to wait 30ish mins for both trips to get food. I've gone to Vegas in the past year and done buffets and this is a far worst expedience, not the food but there is no soda fountain.

The characters were great, we saw 4 of the 5 and left because we were just done but the characters were all fun and almost missed dale but I got out of the food line just in time to see him.

Also only dinner here lets you get the WOC ticket....for some reason? No idea why when someone says I'll pay you more money you say thats only at dinner but wanted to give people a heads up you can only get WOC tickets for dinner at story tellers.

I doubt I'll be back, but if you can afford it and are fine with waiting in slow lines for food then enjoy but this is a one and done for me

It’s not the restaurant, it’s whoever is playing the characters. We went to Goofy’s Kitchen last Thanksgiving and were seated near a large group with tons of kids. Whenever the characters stopped at their table, they’d spend several minutes with them - until their handler would chase them away and we’d merely get a quick wave.

It was obvious that the party had been there awhile (filthy table that had been cleared of plates), so when the characters made their second rotation and did the same thing again, we were increasingly frustrated Now, my weakness is that I don’t speak up… but thankfully the family at the table adjacent to us did and we finally got some attention on the next rotation. Of course, that didn’t stop some of the kids from that large party running over to our table… but I digress.
We went in Sept 2024 and were worried something similar would happen to us since we were only a part of 3 sitting next to some large parties. One of the first characters we saw had to turn around and go to the backroom right before it was our turn too! Luckily we ended up getting plenty of time with the characters and still had lots of fun. It is definitely on our to-do list for next time.
