Loved the Michigan commercials last year,
I can't stand them anymore.
Doesn any other state besides Wisconsin get hit with these commercials.
It is not just summer either-Tim Allen does a commercial for every season of the year for Michigan.

My rant of the day.
:thanks:

We get those in Missouri too.

Of course we also get equally crappy (if not worse) commercials for Wisconsin tourism.

I would guess some of our neighbor states get horrible Missouri tourism ads too.

We get them in NM and CO too, but I don't mind them. I like Tim Allen though, so I'm sure that helps.

Here in Florida we get the Michigan commercials
New York commercials
Gulf coast
and the Bahamas
Once in a while we see California

They cannot possibly be more annoying then the constant California "We surf in the morning and ski in the afternoon" commercials that constantly air around here!
No, we don't! lol!

I get the Pure Michigan commercials here in Tucson, but I love it because i'm from Michigan, so it's a nice little piece of home.

Tim Allen is from Michigan.

In all his shows, he features a bit of home. Remember the Lions attire he always sported on Home Improvement?

And heck...I think it is great having Buzz represent our state!

;)

I thought I read that fans used to send him shirts and so he would wear them.

I love Tim Allen ...what is so bad about him?

The Santa Clause....one of my favorite movies ever. Also a Buzz fan:goodvibes

I Loved the commercials last year and listening to Tim Allen describe Michigan. We are from Wisconsin and we do spend a lot of time vacationing in the UP, but the commercials are too over played on tv and the radio-I'll compare it to being stuck on the ride "It"s A Small World"at the MK. The commercial seems to be on constantly.

They get played a lot here, too (although I didn't realize they were a national thing). Our local DJs were making fun of them last week. They did a parody in the slow, mellow tone that Tim Allen uses, but talked about a bunch of off the wall MI stuff...I was cracking up.

On in Ohio...I liked them at first, but they are overplayed imho.

We get MI, WI, ND, SD, MO, IA, CA commercials here. I love most of them - the CA ones bug me.

Are there MN commericals? Don't know if I have ever been lucky enough to see one ;)

Here in Texas we see ads for Michigan, California (the most annoying, in my opinion), and Branson.

I'm in Michigan and they are played constantly here. But I absolutely love them. I think they are beautiful and "Pure Michigan" is a brilliant campaign. I love Tim Allen's loyalty to our state :goodvibes

For fun, do a search for "Not So Pure Michigan" by John Kerfoot on You Tube or Google. He does a series of spoof videos and they are hilarious! (warning: some have strong language and they might offend those with no sense of humor ;))

They are played here in NE Ohio all the time but I don't mind them as much as the California ones with all the celebrities. We get Bahamas commercials a lot too, can't really think of any other travel & tourism commercials from other states though.

I feel the same way! We live in TX now and get the commercials. I think it's great that the commercials are being played all over the country. MI is such a beautiful state and has so much to offer, not something that many out of the midwest realize.

I live in Northern Indiana and we get them too.
