Michigan Tourism Ad's with Tim Allen

I love the commercials and think they're very well done. We were at WDW on vacation in May on a really hot day and I saw a lovely Pure Michigan commercial with Lake Michigan beaches and thought, "Hmm, we should go to the cottage."

I am a Michigan Commerical LOL, My wardrobe says MI all over it. I can't really say I get indunted with Pure MI commericals but I do see them, usually during evening news cast but it just makes me HOMESICK.
I see a fair amount of other states/countries on Travel Channel but other than that not a whole lot although West Virgina seems to be advertising a lot during evening news cast also, and I've seen a few for IN.

I was the one crying like a fool during our travel expo at a Holland, MI booth. I joked if I won gift basket I'd have to give 90% of stuff away as I already owned it.
And just so all the Yoopers and Trolls know you live in a beautiful state.

Honey, there is nothing wrong with state pride! I love that you see yourself as a walking Michigan commercial. I think that the commercials really make the state look nice, though I've never been there myself.

I'm in Michigan and they are played constantly here. But I absolutely love them. I think they are beautiful and "Pure Michigan" is a brilliant campaign. I love Tim Allen's loyalty to our state

For fun, do a search for "Not So Pure Michigan" by John Kerfoot on You Tube or Google. He does a series of spoof videos and they are hilarious! (warning: some have strong language and they might offend those with no sense of humor )

I spent 50+ yrs. in MI so I truly enjoyed the "Not So Pure" spoof.

Speaking of Tim Allen, I feel as if I "hear" more from him now than during his TV sitcom days - between the Michigan, Campbell's Soup and Chevy commercials, it's All Tim, All the Time.

(I admit, I'm one of the commercial voiceover freaks who says "Doesn't that sound like ____?" )

DH and I discovered these a while ago, I haven't seen all of them, but the one's I have... so true, so true.

LOL, I LOVE "not so pure" spoofs. They're true and hilarious. Being from Macomb County, I especially appreciate the one about fish flies. And the one for the Detroit St. Patty's Parade. Had me rolling.

I've never seen them for Michigan-I see that someone else from NJ said they had, so I'll keep an eye out.
I get a lot of Connecticut and Massachusetts commercial. Virginia, too.

I want to say we get New York(state, not city), I feel like we do, but I can't remember specifics.
NJ-same as NY.

I remember in past years seeing Bermuda commercials all the time, "Bermuda-closer than you think."

My dds now live in fl and they love the pure mi campaign. Especially since they have been many of the places. I guess I don't notice the tv ads here just when we are in fl and I haven't seen Tim Allen or is he the voice over.
When he did tool time he did always wear mi colleges etc and yes people did send many of them.
And I agree we do have a beautiful state

I live on the west coast of Canada. We never hear about Michigan here. I googled the ads and they are nice. BTW, I "Christmas with the Kranks." It's a very clever movie that is appreciated the 2nd and 3rd times it is viewed, too.
