Michigan DVC roll call

Spring Lake, Michigan. Old KeyWest members since December 1991! (Back when the points were $51/per and they were actually giving away free park passes until 12/31/99--ah, the gool ol' days.)

Ok, so we moved here last summer and we want to explore now that we are thawing out!!!!

Any suggestions for places in Michigan and Canada? We like to tent camp, cabin camp, fish, waterparks, hiking, day trips, you name it, we just like to get out and learn about where we are living.

Since this past August we've been to: CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, Sleeping Bear Dunes, a Redwings game at JLA (playoff game!!!), NAIS at COBO, Detroit Science Center, Stony Creek Metro Park and we are camping at Traverse KOA in June.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Michigan has a national park in Lake Superior. It is called Isle Royale National Park and it is fantastic! You can stay in a hotel or camp. Pack in - pack out. I did this trip twice.

We like Wilderness State Park outside of Mackinaw City. Easy day trips to the UP and a day at Mackinac Island is a must!

Hello all,
I love the weather we are having this week. It has been a rough winter. I am still kicking myself for giving up the chance to go south during spring break.

We moved up for LA years ago. LA was fun but MI is a good place to raise a family :) .

Another Clarkston here (think that makes 3 so far!) Just trying to calculate how many points I need to spend the Winter in a Studio. And when I say Winter I mean November - April. 3028 points by my last count! Anyone have any I can borrow?
:confused3

I think we're missing some rain, aren't we? I think it'll cool down a bit (these temps are about 15 degrees above normal right now), but I think the snow is FINALLY over!

Funny. But I do understand. Michigan winters are the reason so many of us become snowbirds. My mother was born and lived her first 18 years in FL. Why did she ever come north???

:cool1: Yeaaa, we will be spending ten days in the world in Dec. We know the weather may be iffy, but as all of you from Michigan knows, it has gotta be warmer than a Michigan December.

Any one else going?

I'm going down there in early December - one of my favorite times to go - it can be warm and sometime chilly but I can get my Disney and Christmas fix at the same time!

We are from Ypsilanti and own at Vero Beach. Will be heading to WLV 3 weeks from today. Can't wait!!!:yay:

Me me!
Right now in little ol' jackson, mi :)
own at BW and WL. Going to WDW in 5 months.
Can't wait! :)

Back packed from one end of Isle Royal to the other when I was in elementary school. It is very beautiful.

We're from Howell here! We own at SSR!

Actually we are between Howell and Fowlerville.

Forgot to add that we live in Westland and we own - OKW, VB, BWV, VWL, SSR - hoping to add on at AKV but we shall see - lots of trips coming up so I just might have to add more!

Petoskey KOA is a highly rated campground with lots of things for the kids to do. Just 30 minutes from Mackinac City.

New member here from St. Clair Shores (grew up in Roseville :) )

I am waiting to close on SSR, hoping to make my first trip 'home' the last week of January. I'm also thinking of getting in on the AKL incentives right now.
