I finally figured out how to put the image in the text, but I am having issues with the simplest thing.

How do I add a outline to the text?

Here is my starter one

What software are you using?

In Photoshop Elements, it is in the layer styles. Mine is 5.0, so I am not sure if yours is different but..

I first have to apply another layer style (say bevel for example) and then click on the sunburst shape in the layer and choose stroke and then specify color, width, etc..

I hope this helps!

By the way, your design is very cute. Please post again when it is done. I'd love to see it - as I'm sure others would as well.

You know where you choose the color for the text? The top box determines the outline of the color you're going to use. So, make that whichever color you want & then when you click on your text tool, you'll see another tool bar come up where you can choose which font to use & something called stroke. This will determine how dark that outline will be. I have my stroke at 4. It also looks like you used dropshadow for your "glow". If you change whatever setting you used for your dropshadow & make it a negative (if you used 4 change it to -4) it will put the glow on the other side to make it glow all around.
