Michael's Recipe Scrapbook?

A couple weeks ago while in Michael's I saw a scrapbook album where you can make a scrapbook album of your favorite recipes.

Does anyone have this? I'm thinking of getting it and making it for my mom for Christmas (with all of her mom's recipes in it--she's been gone for 9yrs now)

What can you tell me about it? How many recipes can it hold? Do you also put pictures in it as well? What about the materials it comes with?

I've not seen it (as we don't have Michael's here) but I made scrapbooks for my two boys using an ordinary scrapbook (old 7x7 CM ones). I typed the recipes in word - I can get about 4 out of a single sheet of A4 cardstock (unless they are really long) and used "homey" papers (plaids etc.) with appropriate embellishments, occasional photos - of the recipe and the boys making them - and sometimes a handwritten note about why the recipe is special. These are now put away until the boys (17 and 11) leave home.

I haven't seen that particular one, but I'm on my third cookbook scrapbook.

The first was an 8X8 just our traditional holiday recipes. I used mostly Christmas with a few food embellishments. The "stories" behind the recipes were as important as the actual recipe.

I've seen a couple of their cookbook kits at Tuesday Morning for cheap.

My current cookbook scrapbook is my "life history" in food. Since it will be huge (I'm old and a foodie), I'm making it in a 3 ring album and interspersing scrapped pages with 6 pocket pages holding original recipe cards. It may end up running to two volumes. I really recommend using a binder album for a cookbook .
