I'm hoping some of our US friends can help 2 Brits who are crazy about crafts.

We go to Orlando next month and we want to shop in Michaels and Joanns. We have read about their 40% or 50% copuons but we do not know where to find them, or how often they are issued. Could anyone help with advice please???

Many thanks

The Michael's coupons come printed in weekly flyers which are inserted into the week-end newspapers. Unfortunately, Michael's stores do not generally have those flyers in the stores. The flyers they have, if any, do not contain the coupon. The coupons are for 40 (or 50) % off the price of one item that is not on sale. They usually have so many wonderful things on sale each week that you will have a great time shopping even without the coupon if you don't get one.

By me Michaels flyers come in Sundays paper. If they don't have a flyer that week, they very often have a coupon in an ad inside the paper somewhere. You could buy a Sunday paper when you are there and try to get one that way.

the coupons come in the Sun. paper and are only good thru the following Sat. I'd send you some but by the time they got there they'd be expired!

Ladies, thanks for your replies. I will look out for the coupons - I guess in the sunday edition of the Orlando Sentinel??

You can sign up for the joann's coupons online and they will send you them by email. They will send ones for online and ones for the store too.

have a GREAT trip!

I get Jo-Ann's coupons often via email. You might try signing up now. As it get's closer to the trip feel free to PM me and I'll forward you any that I have.

I have now signed up for Joann.com, so hopefully a coupon will come through the email before I leave for Florida on 24 Nov. I might even try using them in Michaels.

Thanks for all your helpful suggestions.

This is a tip for if you are counting on the coupons in the Sunday paper. If you are staying at a hotel that offers a free newspaper, sometimes those newspapers do not include all of the sales flyers. Have a quick look through the free one and if you don't see the flyer you want, buy a paper from a gas station or newstand or somewhere. We have run into this when we stayed at hotels before! Sunday editions are usually $1.50 or so.
