Michael JacksonMichael Jackson offered to adopt 'Octomom' Nadya Suleman's eight babies in exchange for cash just weeks before he died.

The King of Pop contacted Suleman's publicist Victor Munoz earlier this year and offered to "take care" of her children in return for a payment.

But Munoz considered the proposal "creepy" - and didn't even inform Suleman as he knew she would refuse to give her babies up for adoption.

Munoz tells the U.K.'s Daily Mirror, "When Michael called I thought it was a joke at first. I was getting hundreds of calls every day and many from celebrities' agents saying their clients wanted to help. But when the person on the end of the line said, 'Hi, it's Michael Jackson' I was a bit taken aback. Michael wanted to know how the babies were, how Nadya was coping.

"He then said he could take care of the children if Nadya couldn't. It was creepy. He was basically offering to buy the children. I was a bit shocked... Michael clearly thought Nadya was unfit and decided he wanted to help those children... But I just blew it off. I knew Nadya would never want to get rid of her kids so it wasn't important."

Suleman made headlines around the world when she gave birth to eight babies in California in January.

I think it was also Fox that reported a "source" revealed that Ryan O'Neal proposed to Farrah Fawcett during her final days just so he could get his hands on her money..

News from unreliable sources is irritating and terribly unfair to those who are being reported "about"..

No - I don't consider the other two sites "reliable" either (notice that one actually has the word "gossip" in it's title) - nor do I consider the "source" of this information to be reliable.. Is it logical that this information is only brought forth now?

If you were to find a link on CNN it would still be from a "source" whose "reliability" is suspect - at best - so I choose not to believe it.. If you choose to, that is certainly your right - but it doesn't necessarily make it a "fact"..

And look who it came from -- Nadya's PUBLICIST! Why on earth would MJ call her publicist to ask to buy her children. That's just ludicrous! Isn't it obvious that Nadya's publicist is just trying to get her more publicity since the media has moved on to other things? Publicity means more money for her.

I think Michael Jackson was definitely nutty as the years went by, by 15-minutes?? Love him or hate him, he's the biggest pop star of all time with the top-selling album in the history of music. I wouldn't exactly say he had a 15-minutes-of-fame kind of career.
