Michael Jackson Tribute Thread (MJ Lovers Only no Haters PLEASE)

I really wanted to state my opinion on We Are The World. The biggest issue I have with it is that they won’t be using Michael’s voice on the soundtrack. His biggest goal in life was create peace and to have us all “come together as one.” For him not to be included in the remake (if that is the case) is just a huge slap in the face. It is far from respectful to re-do a song, and leave out the man who stood up for it’s message. Just because he is no longer with us doesn’t mean he is any less apart of the song as he was when it was first released.

I think that it is wonderful that they are remaking the song to help Haiti, but I think that it should be done in memory of what Michael Jackson stood for. He needs to be apart of it. If he isn’t I am not going to purchase it, because I personally feel like it is disrespecting Michael. I will donate to Haiti in my own way without contributing to the sale of this song.

It may seem heartless of me, but I really just can’t bring myself to buy a song that has left out the most important aspect of it. I don’t care who sings on the album, as long as the man who made it what it was is singing with them…

Sorry for another rant,but I really wanted to share how I feel.

MTE! especially when assurances were made he would be included, and then that promise was not honored. if he was not included, shame on quincy jones for letting it be known that he was.

I'm sorry that all of you are still grieving so much. Its very concerning at times. I've sat back quietly and watched.

I would kindly like to suggest that it might be time or a good idea to back away from this thread on a daily basis and experience other happier parts of our world and your lives.

Don't allow your live to be consumed by grief. It may be time to slowly start moving on. Michael would have wanted that.

LOTS of people read this forum every single day. And a few have proven that they are simply reading it to then go to other threads to bash. Tell me... which ones are in need of the therapy?

Jermaine!!! Who wants to hear him sing? He sounds awful. I will be extremely upset if Michael's voice is not included. That would just not be right at all.

I heard Janet will be digitally inserted (or something like that) to do MJ's part.
Granted the girl can sing... but hers is not the voice I want to hear either.

It would be cool if they inserted his voice and his image!

The Jackson family was mad that they were not invited to perform at the grammys??? Well maybe thats because this was about MICHAEL GETTING AN AWARD and not about trying to re-pump the other Jackson brothers careers.

I dont know about those other brothers, but Jermaine seems ready to pass out business cards whenever he can. Like father like son maybe?

Exactly!!! If we want to keep his spirit alive we will. It's our tribute thread and when this one is full we will make a 2nd one. Obviously there are many people out there besides us that love MJ, just look at all the attention he has gotten since June 25th. It's all over the internet and still in the news. There will never be another person like him. He is missed by many, many people. If people are reading this thread and not posting then that proves they are curious about him too or they wouldn't even open it begin with.
