Considering the major issues that resulted in MJ becoming the person that he did - his childhood - I don't think there is a person here on the DIS that would abuse their own child the way Joe did and put the responsibility of supporting a very large family on the shoulders of a 7 yr. old (yes- that's when the big "push" began with Joe), so I have to say I think it's a ridiculous question..

I would love proof that Joe abused Michael.

This was / is a pointless post. It adds no value, or substance in regards to productive content. All the question from the OP has managed to do is showcase how ignorant and stupid some of you can be by responding and entertaining this nonsense. Based off some of the comments I read, I wouldn’t want my kids to grow up and be like some of YOU! Who I guess have it all together and live perfect lives.

Why are you so concerned with another person’s life? How are you in ANY position to speak on how messed up someone is when you probably have problems of your own? I’m willing to bet most of you have a relative that may not have it all upstairs but because their life is not as interesting as MJ’s no one cares.

People…grow up. Michael Jackson was an entertainer. He should be remembered for that. Nothing more. Nothing less. What he did in his personal life is now between him and God. Its posts like these and comments like some of you provided that help fuel and turn someone’s death into a 3 Ring, Barnum & Bailey circus show.

The man died. How and why really should not concern you. But for some reason it does. It just goes to show how shallow your life is when you become so obsessed with someone else’s. Some of you call Michael Jackson weird. If that’s weird or strange, than what do you call a bunch of people sitting in front of a computer talking bad about someone they never met a day in life? Some of you are somewhere with NOTHING better to do but chat on a DISNEY RELATED WEBSITE about a man who you never came to know. This person just asked “would you want your KIDS to grow up to be like MICHAEL JACKSON?” What type of crap is that? I don’t want my kid to grow up and be like ANYONE. Not Jackson, not Obama, not Bush, not Bill Gates. No one. Their role models should be mom and dad. Not someone they only see on TV. But I think some of you are not qualified to be a role model to your own children. (don’t believe me. See previous comments)

Some of you are exemplifying the type of parents you are by calling this man, who YOU never knew, names. Is that what you teach your kids? Judge people you don’t know? I find it interesting that you ignore allegations against LA because they haven't been proven to be true, but you condemn MJ over allegations that he was declared to be not guilty of.

As I pointed out earlier, the allegation of doping were never made by a court of law or even the UCI. The allegations against MJ were made multiple times by a court of law. A drug test also leaves nothing up to interpretation, an illegal substance is either there or it is not.

A jury, however, can not and does not determine if a person is innocent or guilty, they determine if the prosecution proved beyond a reasonable doubt that the person is guilty. This is why juries are often times proven wrong, just look how many cases get turned over because of DNA.

If Lance had thrown parties for little children complete with sleepovers and then, when accused of taking advantage of them, swept it under the rug to hide it I would make the same assumptions. Especially when after the fact it later comes out that the same practices continued after the first family was bought off. Case Closed!

I love to sleep with a dog in my bed. I know that is different to the majority of completely sane/normal people and one is acceptable while the other is not; however, Michael Jackson was extremely eccentric. Do we know for a fact that he saw those children any more sexually than I see the dog?

No his behaviour was totally wrong his children where playthings, Bubbles should never have been a pet (did you know putting chimps in clothes damages their skin?) his drug taking and spending excesses where disgusting. All his behaviour including alleged child abuse is excused because of his childhood, well he was 50 when he died he had plenty of time to sort out his mental problems and blaming them on events that happened decades earlier is a cop out.

5) Wackiness blamed on his dad? While it's true that I credit my parents for how screwed up I am, I don't think MJ really went around doing this, even if it was true.

I don't understand why some people are taking a negitive stance to my position.

Yes I said this post was pointless, and my point was to point out how pointless it was. (lol…you guys got that right?) My method was not to compare ME to everyone else, which I didn’t do (READ PLEASE), but to take the position of sensitive human being and point out how ignorant some people sound. I was hopping to be the voice of reason and say “people listen to yourselves. Is that really the way you are towards people you don’t know?”

Again, none of us knew this man. Actually I agree with everything you say here. You put it so eloquently. I just don't understand why some people become so darn vicious when it comes to a deceased person. Heck the guy is "dead". There were no known facts that he molested anyone. Not one person on this board was there. Like I said in an earlier post they're are some blood sucking people out there that just want a little piece of the pie when it came to MJ. When he was indicted in 93 of molestating a child, they paid the mother off. Well, now it comes out that the boy just recently came forward and said all of this was a big fat lie. Further, his mother was convicted of welfare fraud. Doesn't that say something? Look, MJ was a little wierd, but I think deep down inside he was screaming for help. He was a very troubled man indeed. Why some people are judging this guy is beyond me. We're all entitled to our own opinion, but some people go way beyond opinions. Some are demonizing this man, by mere assumptions. Another thing weren't we all brought up to not talk "ill" of the dead? Where is the humanity?

Oh, I would agree. IF he was guilty (which was never proven), then yes the parents would be to blame for purposfully putting their child in that situation. Hundreds, if not thousands of kids visited Neverland Ranch over the years; many of these kids stayed over night. Why has no one else ever came forward and accused him? Why is there not one person that knew him ever said "it's possible"? Why on earth would any parent that trully thinks there child was molested settle for any amount of money rather than wanting to see the predator come to justice?
