I've always taken a ship out of Port Canaveral. Does anyone know if Miami is the same?
Thanks!
Thanks!
and the view of Miami is nicer than Port Canaveral ....View attachment 207123 View attachment 207124 View attachment 207125
follow the signs
Miami does not have a dedicated DISNEY terminal .... but they do have parking associated with each terminal.
Don't sweat it ..... Miami was a cruise port WAY BEFORE Canaveral was ...... they know how to handle things .....
OK, thanks. It's just the two of us, so we always carry on our luggage to have it and be able to unpack as soon as our stateroom is available. Can't really relax until everything is stowed. Canaveral is is an easy walk, but wasn't sure about Miami.
We did not have any advance notice about which terminal to go to. However, it appeared (and this is speaking as someone who has been there once and was navigating at the time), that it was really just a long row of terminals. Signage to the general passenger terminals was good, and then as we got closer, it was very obvious which terminal Disney was at.
In terms of the parking garage, not sure if you can make advance reservations. We just showed up the day of. Pricing is per night, and we paid on the way out. Last spring pricing was $20/night.
Edited: Dug720: just saw that you will be sailing Fathom. That ship was docked closer to the exit when we left, away from where most of the more mainstream lines (Carnival, Disney, etc) docked. I would just tell your driver which cruise line you're sailing.
Do you get notification as to what terminal you're supposed to go to so you can tell your driver?
We just told our Uber driver "Port of Miami" and then when we turned the corner to the cruise ship terminal, we could see the Wonder and he looped us right on over to the drop off area. Its not like the airport where there are different terminals, each with their own enter/exit area. All cruise ships dock on Dodge Island, so you just loop around til you get to your ship. Have a look at google maps. It will make more sense to you.
