Flying into FLL instead cause of Southwest flight. Any advice on transfers outside DCL? Also probably flying in same day. Yes, we run risk of missing/being late, etc. But so far lucky so let's go with that

Personally I would take a cab. Or look up a car service from Fort Lauderdale to the port to see the cost.

We uses SAS. Other than the driver on the way from the port to the airport breaking several land speed records, we were happy with them.

I are also flying Southwest to Fort Lauderdale for a DCL cruise in a few weeks. I checked SAS and they did not pickup on Saturday at 4pm when we arrived. I think we will do either Uber or Super Shuttle. I checked fare estimator and Uber is cheaper. Anyone else take Uber or Super Shuttle from the FLL airport to downtown Miami?

I took first responder's advice and found miamiportexpress.com in addition to SAS.

It is a long ride that you need the platepass if you rent a car. Be careful we hit a few traffic jams. We came in a day early so no big deal but cabs or a car service should know how to still get there despite traffic.

We have done both, rented a car for our arrival (we had a day to spend there first) and took SAS back after the cruise. Both options worked well.

SAS does not accept reservations for after 3pm. I filled out their form online awhile back and they emailed back that they do not accept reservations for after 3pm so they won't work.

Are you arriving after 3pm on the day of your cruise??

We are arriving the day before at 4 pm. We need transportation from Fort Lauderdale airport to downtown Miami hotel. SAS won't pickup after 3 pm so they are out.
