Going on our 2nd cruise in March - this time on the Wonder! YAY!!!! This time we are heading out of Miami. I am hoping someone can help me out...What is the best way to get from the port after the cruise to the MIA airport? Any shuttle services you can recommend or tell me to stay away from?? Thanks!

A cab is a $24 flat rate +gratuity. Depending on how many people are in your party, it might make more sense to just grab a cab. I know for our family of 3, it is cheaper to take a cab.

I agree on the cab to the airport. As long as you 4 or fewer in your group, it's really easy to grab a cab at the port. There are tons of the 4-door sedan taxis lined up as you walk out. If you have more people, it may take a little longer, as they will have to track down a minivan taxi for you.

Have fun!

Port of miami is a mad house, madder than any other port I've sailed out of. Cabs are plentiful at the port and they are waaaayyy easier than any shuttle.

thanks for replying. we actually will have 6 people - 5 adults. anyone know about how much a taxi for that many would cost?

With that number you will have lots of bags. A regular taxi sedan may not accommodate all of you. There are taxi vans, but hailing one at the port with 3000 passengers disembarking will be a chore. I have used Super Shuttle in Miami several times. Very dependable and they have vans. You can make an advance reservation, and you can share with another party or request a private van. Well worth the comfort and reliability.
