Miami is nice, so I'll say it thrice!

I went on girls trips to South Beach for 5 years straight when I was a bit younger. Our focus was beach, pool parties, clubs, food, and shopping. I absolutely love the art deco architecture and adored every hotel we stayed in. Favorites were:

Delano - best beach service hands down. They have extremely cushioned lounge chairs on the beach that you can rent for $20 (a few years ago) and have full service. The waiters were wonderful, we would always go there for beach days, even if we didn't stay there. Their sushi restaurant is delicious and they used to have a pool party one day a week that was so much fun.

The Clevelander - loved staying there, great pool party, good pool.

The National - loved the rooms and location. Pool is nice and not as rowdy as some others.

The Raleigh - by far our fav, probably bc we were upgraded to a suite with a balcony :). Loved the pool, wonderful service and they reserved us loungers every day. We would go down and eat breakfast in the loungers to start the day. Lovely staff, beautiful place. Unfortunately it is closed for renovation now, not sure when it will reopen.

Best pool parties - Delano, Clevelander, 1 Hotel/Rooftop, SLS Hotel/Hyde Beach Pool party

Best hotel clubs - Shore Club, The Standard (Sunday Bingo!), Dream (rooftop bar)

Best clubs - Basement (you can ice skate and bowl there!), LIV, Twist (LGBT club, so much fun!), Rockwell (known for great Monday night party), Nikki Beach (have to do it once, best day drinking club around, super cheesy in the best way)

Best restaurants - La Sandwicherie (sidewalk cafe, open late), Las Olas Cafe (good morning food and coffee), Pubbelly Sushi, Joe's Stone Crab (iconic crab restaurant), Tantra (aphrodisiac menu, so fun)

We always asked the concierge for any VIP passes or clubs where they could put us on the guest list. Lots of times we could walk right in the club just bc we asked.

Yeah, Basement is fun! It's at the Edition Miami Beach at 29th and Collins.

DD18 is a former high-level competitive figure skater and we took her and two of her "skate sisters" there one Saturday afternoon. The rink is too small to get up sufficient speed for the difficult jumps, but they dazzled everybody with their footwork and spins. They had a great time, and even the staff was gathered around the rink watching them work on their spins.

Also, this is a great suggestion for anyone wanting to go clubbing. Otherwise you may stand in line a long time.

Great info about the hotels, beaches, clubs and restaurants!
Thank you:flower3:
