Hi all!

Am planning a spur of the moment December trip to WDW - very excited! Since I've never been to WDW at Christmas time (went to DL last year - fantastic!), I have a couple questions that I'm hoping you Xmas "veterans" can answer for me.

1 - With the Osbourne Family light display shown through all of December, does MGM stay open later, so you can see the lights at night? What time does it usually stay open to on a weekday (I'm looking at a Monday night).

2 - We're going to MVMCP for the first time too, in fact we're going to buy for the two nights we're there that they're having it, in anticipation of really enjoying it (we LOVE MNSSHP). Any tips on what to do when and who/what not to miss?

3 - What is the temp and weather usually like there in December? We're going Dec 9 - 14th - is it rainy that time of year?

4 - What are the crowds like then too? I can't imagine it's super busy, being it's two weeks before Christmas, but am just curious.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You are going to love it during that time of the year.

Traditionally crowds are low the first two weeks of December.

Ans: It gets dark early here in the East. Osborne Lights will be up when you attend. The parks do not stay open late (except for Christmas/New Years weeks). but you'll be able to see the lights. We have done Fantasmic and then headed over to the lights. Don't forget to get the free 3-d glasses.

Ans: It depends on what you like to do. They have special stage shows in each land and the Christmas Parade. Have your free picture taken early, the crowds are low and you'll look more presentable. DH loves to do the thrill rides, no long lines. There's also free hot chocolate and cookies. And you get a Christmas button. Don't miss the Fireworks show.

Ans: The weather can be iffy. It is their dry time of the year, but a couple of years ago it rained really hard for a few days. You never can tell. The first year we went, it was 80 every day. Other years, Fl has experienced a "rare" frost. Bring summer cloths and make sure you have a long pair of pants and sweathshirt "just in case"

Enjoy
