MGM Walkway to Boardwalk-go thru Villas?

We'll be walking from MGM to Boardwalk, as we're new DVC members and want to see the Villas there. Is there a door along the riverside there (MGM side of Luna Park) or do we have to walk all the way around to the front along the Boardwalk. We were thinking that if there were a door down there, for one thing, it would save us from walking outside in the summertime heat too long. Also, we'd see more of the inside of the Villas that way.

Not until you basically get to the Boardwalk. The other doors require a room key to open.

ducklite is correct all the doors but the main doors require a room key to enter but really there is not much to see in the hallways of BWVs, they are just hallways with doors leading to the villas and every so often the housekeepers supply rooms or the rooms with the ice machine, soda & snack machines. If you have already walked from MGM to Luna Park you have walked 99% of the walk. I have seen, very rarely, the door from Luna Park leading into the BWVs, by the health club open but this is not really that much closer than using the main entrance from the boardwalk. If you want to see the BWVs, I would suggest stopping in the DVC office on the boardwalk and they will gladly show you sample models of all the DVC resorts including BWV. Also go into the lobby, the stores on the boardwalk etc to really get a feel of the resort. It is a fantastic resort!
