Okay we are off to WDW is 18 days.

We are going to be in MGM on the last day of SWW.

We are not SW fans so that is not an issue.

Here is the plan. . .

Arrive at opening

See Voyage of Little Mermaid at 9:20

See Magic of Disney Animation

See Beauty and the Beast at 10:45

Walk to Pizza Planet

On our way to Pizza Planet walk through Streets of America

Eat Lunch

Have plenty of time for shopping and characters

Find parade spot at 2:30

Stars and Cars Parade 3:00

Leave MGM- Check into timeshare (Masters Inn the night before)

Chef Mickey's at 6:30

Back to MGM for Fantasmic

Good Night Sleep!!

I also have a 3 yo and I think thats a pretty full day for a child that young. We just returned from WDW 2 days ago. MGM was crowded, even the non-Star War stuff.

It took alot of time to do everything. Even the "regular" characters had long waits. We also ate at Pizza Planet and stood in line for almost 30 minutes just to get our food and this was at 1:30pm. People started lining up for the parade an hour before.

I think your little one may get pooped out quickly especially with the crowds, heat and humidity.

Can you suggest somewhere better to eat?

Worst case scenerio we can skip the parade. We just cannot check in until 4:00.

My 3-year-old loved Star Tours, Muppet 3-D, the Cars Stunt Show, and the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground. He also did fine on the Great Movie Ride.

I see your problem -- that 4 p.m. check-in time. Are you going to bring a comfortable stroller? Something that reclines? If so, you might want to build in an hour or 90 minute 'quite period' somewhere where your child may nap, say sometime after lunch. You could even leave the park and take a walk towards Boardwalk/Epcot, with the same goal in mind.

Don't forget the Playhouse Disney show! That is always a favorite with the under 5 set.

ETA: As for lunch being crowded, just go early and you will probably be fine.

I agree.. about the Playhouse Disney show.. Nice air conditoned and a bit of a break.. 3 year old would love it.

Oh my how I would love if my DD would nap. She has not taken a nap since 20 months! Oh the good old days! We actually have a 10 month old too. We just purchased a fantastic new stroller where the baby can sit or recline up front and our older daughter can sit or stand! It is the Joovy and I love it. All of our other days we have a pool (nap for the baby) break built into the day.

I see your problem with the check-in time. Beauty and the Beast is great . My DD would sit and watch that show all day. Mermaid is cute, DD loves that also. I agree to try the Playhouse Disney show also. We also did the Backlot tour and Indiana Jones.

DD got bored at the Stunt show, though DS (9) loved it. My DD is only 38" so she is too little for Star Tours as someone else suggested. Minimum height is 40". We've also done the Great Movie Ride which is kind of cute also.

The Toy Story Pizza Planet is a good place to eat IMOP. My thing was it just seemed like alot for a 3 yo on your 1st day, in the hot June sun. Go with your plan, if your DD seems tired or cranky just nix the rest. Also with Fantasmic it may be crowded also. Some I heard line up, up to 2 hours prior to showtime.

Good Luck

I had Playhouse Disney on but my DD only watches MMCH, Handy Manny and the Little Einstiens (a tiny little bit.) She also enjoys MF Tig and Pooh, Johhny and the Sprites on the weekends. I do not think she even know who Stanley and the Bear are.

Don't matter, its a cute show. My DD watches Nick  but loved the Playhouse Disney show.

Just wanted to wave to you. We'll be at MGM on the same day (but we'll be doing the Star Wars thing). :wave2:

I also agree that she'll like Playhouse Disney even if she doesn't watch it at home.

Well, may the force be with you!

someone else mentioned it but don't forget the Honey I shrunk... playground my little ones always loved it and it is nice to let kids be kids for a bit, Just pull up a spot near the exit and let them play for 20 minutes.

I had a no napper also! you at least got to 20 months I never even made a year.

I read the lines fo Honey were super long and slow moving. Is this true?

We also have a 3-yo DD, and we plan on splitting MGM into 2 half-days.

Day 1

Playhouse Disney
Muppet Vision
Sounds Dangerous
Honey Movie Set Adventure
Fantasmic!
ToT & RRC - Switching off.

Day 2

S&MC Parade
Beauty and the Beast
Great Movie Ride
Voyage of TLM
Indiana Jones
Playhouse Disney Dance Party

Lots of character greetings - I've found that MGM is the best place for character interaction, not a long time to wait and tons of different characters available.
