Our first day at WDW we will have to go to MGM. It is DS16 favorite park. I want a nice meal that night and if we don't decide to eat at MGM I really want to try Le Cellier. I think I have read that it is not difficult to get from MGM to EPWS. I was thinking of taking the boat or walking over from MGM to eat supper. You can do this can't you?

yes, you can take a boat from MGM to the international gateway ( back entrance ) at epcot. You can also walk, probably 20 minutes to a half hour walk. The boat takes about that same time, stops 3 times at the hotels in between the parks, but is easier than walking.

You must have a park hopper pass or you won't be able to get into epcot. the boat will drop you off inbetween france and england.

Depending on the time of year, it may be a little hot to walk. It's not a bad walk and is usually faster than the boat. We do it a LOT as we stay at BWV most of the time. Walking will take about 30 minutes, the boat about 45 with the stops. Another alternative is to take the boat to the first stop at the Swan/Dolphin, then get off and cross the bridge to the Boardwalk and walk the rest of the way. This gives you some sitting time but cuts out most of the waiting time on the boat for stops.

Thanks for the tip. It will be in March so it won't be hot for us to walk but I don't want to ride the whole way on the boat. We did that last year by accident (long story but we were trying to get to Beaches and Cream and I didn't know where the heck I was going. The boat was nice but I got totally turned around) So we could take the boat to Swan/Dolphin and then walk. I think I will look at a map this time. LOL
