MGM to DD

What is the quickest way to get to Downtown Disney from MGM. I know it involves going to a nearby resort but which one would be closest?

The Boardwalk, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan or Dolphin. I would grab the first bus to any of them, then change to a DTD bus.

We hop on whatever arrives first! LoL. Once we went to DTD from the Swan and it took us an hour! The bus stopped at 4-5 other hotels first. It was a looong trip!

I wouldn't recomend using a Boardwalk/Yacht/Beach/Swan/Dolphin busing. They stop at about 3 different spots, since all those resorts are clumped together. Those would be the longest. I would guess any bus would be good. Maybe a DTD resort, like POR or SSR would be quickest. Then you can walk to take a boat over to DTD.

Take a bus to OKW and then hop the water taxi over to DTD. I think you can do the same thing at SSR.

I believe that you only have the boat from MGM to these hotels or walk.

Yeah, we found out the hard way. The only reason we did it was because it was 11pm and we had just finished mini golfing.

The Boardwalk is the closest resort to MGM, and you can walk there in about 10 minutes.

There is no bus service from the Studios to any of the Epcot resorts (Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin, Beach/Yacht Clubs). You can walk to any of these in 15 minutes or so or take the Friendship boat.
As others have noted, these resorts share a bus to DTD so it does take a while with all the stops.
