I got sucked in by one of the ladies and she made me sing. For some reason the only song that came to mind was "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera. Needless to say I did NOT do Michael Crawford proud. It was a sickening display. Thankfully,the wife did not have the video camera with her.

On Friday look for the new "In the Can" film crew truck. (I got me a REAL job now!) I am the cameraman for the crew! I am working with film director Alberto Dante and a sweet script girl by the name of Deloris Deluca. She's swell!

We will be filming on Sunset and Hollywood respectively on Friday at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:40 and 1:45. (Or thereabouts!)

DD and I experienced our first street performers (can you believe it?) a few weeks ago. The guys from the Public Works! They were such a hoot. We laughed so hard. DD actually went up on her own to ask for a picture and autograph - which I didn't even think of!

I still laugh every time I see a fruit loop!

We will have to spend more time getting to know all the Street Performers in upcoming visits!

DS means Dear Son

DH means Dear Husband

GS means GrandSon

DW means Dear Wife

These are just shortcuts to make the posts shorter. Hope that helps you understand some of them better.

So if you know its a "kinship" thing, you can figure it out.

A "DW" would stand for "Dear Wife" (or "Disney Wife").

A "DMIL" would stand for "Dear Mother In Law" (or "Battle Ax").

Hey, Francis! We caught some of your performance 5/2. I loved it! Wish we could have stayed, but the people at Sci-Fi probably wouldn't have been too happy if we didn't show up like we said. Thanks so much for the schedule of times. Do you think I can go by that in September, because I'm planning to make a special trip to MGM to see you. You can really work that camera (and if I remember, you wear some great Cocoanut shells too!),

But, sadly, I was playing around with the camera and deleted 3 days of pictures, including the Francis photo!! I tried finding you again on Monday, Francis, but was unsuccessful

Let this be a lesson to everyone! Stay current on your DIS threads right up until the very instant you leave for your trips!
If only I had seen this schedule in time! Instead I waited until Sunday and Monday to mosey over to catch Streetmosphere. Francis, I'm sorry I missed you! Will I have to relinquish my "Flootie" moniker? I'll be back around Memorial Day weekend. Any chance of spotting you around 5/27-5/31ish?

At least as a consolation prize, I did get to meet a renown director, Mr. Fellini! I was not the only one braving the heat and strong sun, either. A flock of parched birds seemed to be there as Mr. Fellini's fan club. Yes, basking robins thirsty won Flavio.

We just got back and had a couple opportunities to see the new crew, but did not see Francis or Gracie. Are you two still around? We really miss Captain Sideman, Myron, and Skip, but glad to see Jack Diamond is still on the streets!

Also, has anyone seen Mr. Stone Granite aka Gaston in the Beauty and the Beast show. He fits that role perfectly and was certainly the best Gaston we have ever seen. Who knew he could sing.

We also had the opportunity to see Roman over at the Flights of Wonder show and talked to him after the performance. He does a great job with that show as well.

Its funny seeing some of our old favorites in different roles!
