Can't decide between the 2 which to go to? We've been to both but its been about 5 years ago. We originally were going to go to MGM but now it looks like Universal has more going on.

I like both parks, but IMO you should go with Universal. :sunny:

I assume you are talking about Universal Studios and not Islands of Adventure?
What are you looking for?

While we enjoyed both, if I had to choose one, I'd definitely go with MGM.

Some of my favorite things at MGM:
Rock n Roller Coaster
Tower of Terror
Beauty and the Beast
Lights, Motors, Action
Fantasmic
Indiana Jones Stunt Show

And at USF:
Revenge of the Mummy
Terminator
Shrek

I dont mean Islands of Adventure. I meant Universal. I don't like rides but my husband and son does. From years ago when we did go to universal we did enjoy the earthquake attractions and we wanted to see Jaws but it was closed for renovations. So I would like to see that again.

If I had to choose between MGM and Universal Studios....I would pick MGM!

Now if you would have asked about Islands of Adventure, then I would have had a different answer :woohoo:

We are doing it all this year...11 days in Disney and 5 days at Universal. This is the longest vacation we have taken yet, and I can't wait! :Pinkbounc

I think they're about equal as far as rides go.
Universal Studios has Revenge of the Mummy, which is one of the best rides I've been on, and Men in Black, which is a lot of fun. IMO, the rest of the rides at Universal are pretty lame. Earthquake and Twister are interesting once, but nothing I'd want to repeat. Back to The Future is way too rough and not very exciting.
At MGM, you've got Rock n Roller Coaster, which is overall my favorite ride of all the Disney and Universal parks, and Tower of Terror which is a great ride as well. You've got Star Tours, which is a bit dated, but is still a lot of fun and far superior to Back to the Future.

As far as shows, there are quite a few at Universal that I haven't seen so I can't comment on them. But Terminator is one of the best shows I've seen and Animal Planet is kinda fun. At MGM, you've to Lights, Motors, Action, which is a definite can't miss show, Indiana Jones Stunt Show, which we all enjoyed, and some great musical shows like Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. You've also got Fantasmic, which is one of my favorite ways to end a day at a theme park.

Overall, I just think Disney-MGM has more to offer, but I know that some might disagree.
