We are already doing the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom but need to decide between MGM and Epcot...or maybe a combination of both maybe hope between the 2 on one day...what did you think are must sees at either of these parks...Children traveling with me are boys ages 10,6 and 4.

Your kids would probably like the two stunt shows -- Indiana Jones and the Lights, Motors, Action car show -- at MGM, along with Star Tours. They'd probably get a yuck or two out of the Muppet 3-d show, also. But Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster may be too intense for them.

At Epcot, they would love Soarin', Honey I Shrunk the Audience, Test Track, and Turtle Talk with Crush. They might also like the Maelstrom ride in Norway, and Spaceship Earth.

It's a toss up...but I'd sort of lean toward Epcot, and maybe hit MGM for the two stunt shows...? :confused3

I'd skip AK and do MGM and Epcot. But you can do AK in half day, so maybe do that then head to Epcot for the rest of the day. Do a whole day at MGM, My opinion anyway.

I would have to skip Epcot over MGM... I love RnR and ToT... and the shows... but I could spend 1/2 day at MGM and 1/2 day at AK... a day or day 1/2 at MK then Epcot last... I love Test Track and Soarin...but I could run in just long enough to do them and be happy.good luck and enjoy your trip!

I would go to MGM and do what you think you'd like there, and then head to Epcot for the rest of the day. There's great stuff to see at both, and I guess it would depend on how busy it will be while you are visiting.

I would definitly skip Epcot b/c MGM has more things to do like the stunt shows, TOT, RNR, MV3D, BT, and GMR. All those rides are really cool and more fun to go on.

Wow, am I really the 1st one to write to go to Epcot over MGM?? Hands-down easy decision, I thought. Given the ages of your sons, in addition to loving the kidcot stations at the countries, they'll love Soarin' and Test Track (although 4 year old might be too short, don't know). Innoventions has tons to do, too.

There's better shows at the other parks than at MGM and timing them right is also a big pain. Unless you are into the big thrill rides, MGM is a lot of waiting around and not worth the bus ride out there. Just my opinion.

EPCOT!! Hands down. Our plan was to spend half a day there and kids loved it so much we stayed the whole day and came back for half a day. The only thing they LOVED at MGM was Fantasmic! Its a must see. DS-5 loved it!! My DD 7 and DD 8 wanted me to pass along you have to see Turtle Talk, Soarin and Test Track. :thumbsup2

I agree

We love MGM, so I would definately spend the day there instead of Epcot.

I agree with a pp who said to skip AK and head to MGM instead, or go to AK in the morning and finish the day at MGM.

Have fun!

I'm not sure why you would spend a whole day at AK. My children were 6 and 4 our last trip. We love AK, but we go there first thing in the morning, ride safari, do the two treks, see the Lion King show, and then we leave. Last trip, we also spent some time in Dinoland and the kids dug in the archeological site (WAY too young for your DS10). DD is 4 and Kali River Rapids and certainly Everest are out for her. Your DS10 might like them, but what do you do with the 6 and 4 year-old. BTW, if you do the rapids, be prepared to get soaked. Not just wet. Soaked.

After our morning in AK, we go to MGM and spend the rest of the day there. We ride Star Tours (not DD...she's not a thrill-ride person), Muppets 3D, Little Mermaid (probably not for you), the Indiana Jones show (your boys will love that), and see Fantasmic. Your older son, and probably not your 6 yo because there is a 50 inch height requirement, could ride Rockin Roller Coaster and TOT.

I would not skip Epcot. Soarin is a ride all of your boys could enjoy (the height requirement is 40 inches), and so is Test Track. Epcot is a great place to explore and since it is large, it doesn't seem as crowded or hot. This is our go-to park if we find our morning park getting crowded. Illuminations was my DS's favorite nighttime show. Fantasmic was DD's. The food at Epcot is also so varied that you can always find something to please everyone. Innoventions has lots of games DS10 could play if the younger boys wanted to do the character greet nearby. The lines for characters aren't as long in Epcot as they are in MK, and in the greet near Innoventions, you wait in one line and meet multiple characters. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Pluto and Goofy.

All the parks are special, and I think even if you only have three days, you can do all four.

I agree with most of the other posters. As much as I like Animal Kingdom (and I volunteer at our local zoo, so you know I must like animals!), I would only plan to spend 1/2 a day (at the most) at AK. It often opens earlier than other parks, so you could definitely do 1/2 day at AK and 1/2 day at MGM. Then a full day at Epcot.

(Be sure to hit the safari at AK - the bird show is also good. But there isn't as much to do at AK - although it's the biggest park in square footage, it has the smallest number of attractions.)

I vote for EPCOT over MGM. I think that even for kids EPCOT has a lot of neat things as the other posters have mentioned. Personally I love AK. So I would not skip it. But I agree with the some of the other posters, most likely you can finish AK before the end of the day and then you can go to one of the other parks.

Have fun!

You are asking me to pick between my 2 favorite parks. That's not nice. But if I have to pick, I would have to go with EPCOT. It is my favorite park overall. I love everything there and my kids do too. My DD can do without Mission Space as it is too intense but that is because the spinning one was too intense for her and we never got to try the non-spinning one. But I would go to EPCOT. :thumbsup2

I love both . EPCOT is open until 9pm if you want a really long day do an extra magic hour until midnight at EPCOT and go to MGM in the am to see the stunt show, star tours, indiana jones, TOT (youngest might not like this one is scares easily. EPCOT for world show case be sure to see the candy maker in Japan, drummers in Japan and acrobats in China. Fast pass soarin any other major future world attaction if fastpass is available. Nap for 4 y/o in stroller if possible to make the day more enjoyable on long park days.

If you split, do Epcot at night. Illuminations is much better than Fantasmic.
