MGM hours and Fantasmic question

Ok, I'm sure I'm missing something here, but I don't know what, so please help.

Sunday, September 23rd: MGM park hours are listed on Disney's website, and it closes at 8:00pm

According to this (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/sepfw07.cfm?requesttimeout=1000), Fantasmic starts at 8:00pm?

How can the show start at closing time? Or is that how it works?

on occasion, there's been a show half an hour after closing too. it's perfectly ordinary.

as it is, most nighttime entertainment is scheduled at park closing most of the year.

Park "closing" really means they don't let people into the park or into attractions anymore. If you're already in line, you still get to ride.
