MGM closes at 8pm...Sci Fi ressie for 8:30pm..huh?

I have a reservation at Sci Fi next Thursday @ 8:30 pm. MGM closes @ 8 pm.. I'm assuming that because of the free dining they extended dining hrs? , but I figured you guys would know. I have to call and confirm my reservations tomorrow anyway, I was just wondering if this is something I should mention to the person I talk to.

Yes they have extended hours during free dining to try and get more people in. I believe they have reservations an hour after the park closes because of the free dining, but you may want to ask.

It could be due to the fact that Fantasmic is scheduled for 8:30, so even though the offical closing of the park is 8:00 the attractions may start to close down but some of the restaurants and stores will remain open until after Fantasmic.
