MGM Character Meal Update Thread

sorry for not reading the whole thread, but has it been decided if this is a breakfast/lunch or dinner?

I am waiting not so patiently here!!! I check this thread first thing every morning. I am hoping to get adr's for this in May for our MGM day!!! Thank you soooo much for checking every morning for us!!

I was making other ADR's this morning, so I asked. She told me, "We're still waiting on that one."

According to Mouseplanet reservations will start sometime in March for actual
seatings to start in April. The actors will be rehearsing throughout March.

I agree I wish they would hurry up, this wait is worse than waiting for Christmas. On another note, did anyone see the post about the dining plan change? I was just wondering if this is something that is actually going to happpen or not. In the post it stated that the change would take effect April 1, and it would not allow any desert at any ts, but you would get two snacks per day. Since we are going in June I was just curious.

Just got off the phone making some ADRs. Asked about the character meal breakfast at MGM. The lady got very defensive and wanted to know who told me that, was it someone from Disney Dining reservations, that there was no word that it was even true. So I'm not sure why she reacted that way. Seems like some are acknowledging it, some don't know at all, and some just are irritated by the question.

No. I would say no to dinner since they do the Fantasmic! package at that time, but Disney changing the rules happens all the time as well.

Ok, here's the deal....Someone call Disney and tell them that tomorrow is my birthday and they should open up ADR's for this meal so I can book it. That would be a great birthday gift! Think they'll go for it?

I read on another board..."there will also be a lunch" so I guess that means it might be both breakfast and lunch. Only way too much more time will tell!

I am personally amazed at how "rude" some of the CMs are on the phone...or the number of them that say they have never heard about it. Hopefully a week from tomorrow all of the waiting will be over and we will have our ressies.

Iam not surprised they have never heard of it...... I made my adrs today and the CM had never heard of the pirate cruise...wonderland tea party or princess tea party
AND she took 10 mins "looking " for each of these before telling me disney must have got rid of them..and she had never heard of them any way!

When this toystory meal comes out...it will be the look of the draw for us guys...we might get thru to a dimwit and spend 20 mins explaining what we want to be told it doesn't exist...OR...we might get thru to a wonderful efficient CM who has it booked for us within moments of answering the phone.

If I get the first Iam slamming the phone down and trying again....saves a lot of $ and might have a chance of actually getting the meal.
