Mexico Lindo 10/23/2011 MR Cruise!!!

Found a really cute "pirate prince" costume (at least that is what he is calling it) at Costco. 1 down 2 to go - what other places have you found reasonable costumes?

Can you believe this time next week we will be only about a week away - sooooo ready!!!!:cool1:

We got DS one from party City for $10.. simple but CUTE ! For DD I am making a tutu and she is wearing her black leotard .. and pirate accessories.

on another note... Do we have an actual cruise thread logo for this group ??? I saw some other posts with people making a 3x5 copy of their logo for everyone to print out and wear for the meet up... just curious if we have one I might have missed in the posts...

Hello everyone. We are new to the DiS boards and we will be sailing on this cruise. Can anyone tell me how the meeting onboard is organized and how the fish extender sign up goes? Just needing a little information on how we all meet up!

Welcome!!! I think Tara is handling all of that for us (TSB2 I think) - you can PM her with everyone in your party's names, ages & stateroom #'s. We'll have more info (headcount, cruise meet up) in a week or two, I think. I'm sure someone else with chime in with more (and better) info than myself! :hippie:

As of Friday, we sail in 36 days. :cool1:

Got Disney cruise documents today (a little spiral bound booklet) which included luggage tags, listed chosen excursions, etc. Woo hoo!

Does anyone have any insight on what the weather might be like (at sea and i port) for the last week of October when we cruise? I'm thinking a hoodie and/or jacket for windy days at sea and cool nights and warm weather stuff the rest of the time?

1DCL11, I would love to have a cruise logo with dates, etc. for this cruise but am not computer savy enough to make one. If you try one, please share it with the thread ! Thanks.

( I really need to figure out what to use as a FE and start getting things together for FE gifts.... )

:welcome: At this point we just have set up a very informal meet for when we board before the sail away party. At some point before we leave we'll set up something else. I encourage you to read over this thread. It should provide you with a lot of answers. :)

We haven't received our documents yet.:sad2: It may be because we booked it through AAA.

I was just about to post something asking about the weather! ;) Great minds think alike! I really hope it will be warm down south. But, I have heard that it can be chilly on sea days.

We don't have have one. :confused3 Are you volunteering? ;) That would be neat to wear something when we board so we can recognize each other. :yay:

I had to call in to DCL to ask a question, and she mentioned that my cruise documents were mailed two days ago! I can't wait to get them, and I see some of you already have yours...doesn't it just make it feel so real when we have all those things in our little hands?

I can't wait to get our official documents!!! It will be even more real then! I will make some kind of logo and see what everyone thinks...Im pretty good with photoshop...so I bet I can come up with something!

I read the weather is warm during the day...and cool at night...I will def. Be packing a sweatshirt :-)

In April it was quite cool going down to PV mainly because it was sooo windy. Since we are from Washington we still swam and did the hot tub as did others. But spoke to many SoCal folks who were sitting in the loungers wrapped in blankets. So it really depends on you. Once in PV and Cabo it was warm mid 80s. :cool1: the return day to LA was the same, very :scared1: windy and cool.

I was wondering about this too - sometimes it seems like while at sea, at least on the Pacific side, it is very windy and a bit chilly, so no one really uses the pool, but I'm at least looking forward to laying BY the pool at the very least.

I asked Jordak one of the DISboard disigners to alter one of his designs for our cruise and this is what he did:

Sorry it's so big. :upsidedow I'm not sure how to make it any smaller.

I'm from So. Cal so you might see me with some blankets by the pool. :cool2:
It makes sense that they are doing the pirate night on the 5th night in Cabo for the warmer weather since it's an outside party. More comfortable at least. pirate:

Got my documents today. It does seem more exciting now with the luggage tags in my hands. My daugther just said she will only go on the cruise with Ariel and not anyone else (meaning the other characters). :rotfl:

Very cool design. I love the font for MR with the flower. So much more creative than anything I would have come up with for sure!
