:rotfl2: you are showing your true Disney addict colors :thumbsup2

Here everyone ...put your head phone on and have a Hawaiian Roller coaster Ride on the Disney Magic leaving San Pedro....tell me that watching and listening to this does not make you smile and get goose bumps..or should I say Mickey Bumps::yes:: :cool1:

Thanks for the video clip Robin...I always wondered why does the tug boat spray water?:confused3

22 days and counting:banana:

You got me....that one sure throws up a lot of water..:lmao:

I know that some do it to get rid of some of the water that gathers on deck so it does not sink when towing ...but nothing like that one.

Thanks, Robin - that clip was great. :thumbsup2 I didn't realize there were so many DCL videos on YouTube. I really got goosebumps watching some of the other clips that had that wonderful horn. :goodvibes Only 3 weeks to go! :dance3:

Don't know how long they'll last, but there are some Saturday Jul 26 Palo brunch reservations available on line right now. Only time available is 10:30 am and for no more than 2 people. I got mine - yay!

Hey Everybody, Don't mean to rub it in... but Disneyland was GREAT!!! Sat. the weather was nice and cool in the morning with cloud cover (it's what we call June Gloom in So CAL.) And there was hardly anybody in the park!!! Yes, that's right the park was not crowded at all. I found out that the day was blocked for most of the AP's. Which made it a GREAT DAY for my daughters and I. I got to see allot of my former cast mates, they kept asking me when I was coming back. I really miss working with them, I said, not coming back for awhile... can't afford it the drive of 100 miles a day. Anyways, the day was just perfect. We rode the new attraction of Toy Story's Midway Mania. It was really fun, so much fun my DD's rode it again. The wait in line was about 50 minutes in the morning and 35 minutes in the afternoon when my DD's rode it again. That tells you how the "crowd" was for a day at the Resort, on a Sat., in the summer, and with school being out. It was just a GREAT DAy!!! Again, don't want to rub it in.:lmao: Yes, Robin I look for the simple things in life.... as long as it has something to do with Disney!::MickeyMo
Emilee, Thank You for the B-day wishes. Just being a dad to 4 great kids and husband to a WONDERFUL wife, thats all I need for a B-day. I'm soooo blessed. And now having ya'll as cruise mates, just makes it even better. Now, if I can have my Chocolate Soufflé from Palo's right now? OH BABY!!! I gotta stop and wipe my mouth from drooling.:woohoo: Vern

Tickets arrived...so excited!!!! I'm in Los Angeles.

Dancing Mickey's - Just to let you know during the 2005 we parked at the port and had no issue at all for the week. Mind you, I drive a super-sexy highly coveted minivan :rotfl2:

So looking forward to this vacation. I have taken only one vacation day this past year due to a major project at work, and while I love what I do, I am really excited about kicking back on deck 4 and doing nothing :yay: Or maybe watching the kids in the Mickey Pool while enjoying way too many french fries and my DD's famous special drink - half diet sprite and half fruit punch! She thinks she is making us shirley temples...it is our little tradition on board and she just gets such a kick out of making it and seeing me swoon over it.

Hey - Anyone heard any great ideas for Cabo? I am still not sure what we are going to do. I've booked the family resort & pool thing, but ??? Any suggestions :listen:

:rotfl: :laundy: We got our tickets so now I can concentrate on gathering up all the needed items. Looking over the basic ship schedules it has the 2nd night as the Formal dinner and the 6th night as the Semi-Formal dinner. Would it be wrong to wear the same outfit for both? How much of a difference is there in the wear between the 2 evenings? Would a nice skirt and top be OK for the Semi-Formal Dinner? I am trying to not bring to much clothes since it is only a week long cruise and I tend to pack to much when I travel. Any suggestions?

Nora:confused3

My sweet boy just came downstairs with his sombrero that we got at the Target Dollar Spot and his maracas and told me that he is so ready and will be bringing this two things for sure so everybody will know where he is going! :thumbsup2  He is such a sweetie! Shaking those maracas. I hope I can hold that sweet innocent moment in my heart forever. You know, before he is too cool for anything anymore!

Happy Belated Birthday Vern!!!! :cake: :tink: Glad you had such a nice day at Disneyland. I hope our visit is as "crowded" as yours since we have only one day. See you guys soon!

Attila - I have not even thought of clothes too much - I need to get in my closet. The thing is you are only going to have it on for a few hours. I think what I will do is wear my semi-formal outfit to Palo's for dinner too. That way I will get two uses out of one outfit. Makes sense in my mind right now.;)

Still trying to figure out my fish extender. Don't know if I have enough patience to make one from scratch, so I am going to try to find an organizer that is already made and then decorate it. I am all about decorating!

Does anybody know if Budget has a shuttle back to the port off of the top of their head?

Thank you Leasi, for the B-day wish! When ya'll coming in from Tn? Sorry to say, but for the rest of the summer, most of the AP's (Annual Passporters) will be opened. The crowds really kick in around the 4th of July until Labor Day. We'll have to talk about Tenn., my mom was born there (Loudon) and I just love the country living back there. Yes, we have "Ridgerunners" in our family tree. Most people don't know what that is. Vern

:worship: Please, Please..I'd like to join in on this conversation too....I like talking about my home state.:cool1: Of course I was born and raised on the totally opposite side of the state, which is also totally different from the eastern part.....I think the eastern side is much prettier!!! I can add in some Elvis trivia

Can't wait 3 weeks and counting.....

Hey this is my 100th post. Yeah!

Hi Vern, we are about 15 miles from Loudon. If you have not been back "home" it has changed so much. You would hardly recognize it. My husband grew up in Farragut which is the town right next door to Loudon and it certainly does not have that same small town feel anymore. It is sprawling and overgrown with commercialism. I guess just about every green space is getting that way. The weather here has been so nice - high 70s/low 80s with very low humidity. As you know that is very unusual for us, particularly this time of year. We are coming in on Saturday the 19th and will be in good ole sunny LA around 2:00. My DS only wants to see the Hollywood sign when we get there. He doesn't care about anything else. Well, of course, the ship, but no interest in anything else. Such a funny child.

FWIW, we rented a car from Avis. They had great rates for anyone who needs to rent a car and doesn't want to pay $150 for Enterprise for one day. Avis is about six miles from the port and will call you a taxi to get you back. You can use the Wal-Mart customer rate which is available for all Wal-Mart customers. It is K199060. We got a one day for $80 and two day for 185. This includes taxes.

By the way, we have most of everybody's info but there is still a few that have not sent us theirs:

Hey Vern...we have late seating for dinner. I was told I could only provide my husband's age if I included mine...so forget about it.

Let me know if you need anything else.

My TA just called today to let me know that she has them in!    Okay, I like dancing....:dance3:

So I am all alone for a few minutes while my husband takes the kids to get a new bike tire. I am going to attempt making the fish extenders..two cabins/two FE. I do not sew:confused: so I need a little :wizard:. If worse comes to worse I will tie up a plastic bag:lmao:

I am almost done with my FE gifts and they are turing out to be pretty fun to make. My DS 7 like helping me when he can..sometimes he needs to entertain DD 18 months.

VERN---Sounds like you had a great birthday--Happy late birthday!!!:grouphug: We are planning on going to the parks the Thursday and Friday before the cruise...hate going on Saturday so not really planning on it...but you never know;) My husband is flying in on Saturday to catch up with us.

Well off to do house stuff :laundy: .

Hey - Anyone heard any great ideas for Cabo? I am still not sure what we are going to do. I've booked the family resort & pool thing, but ??? Any suggestions :listen:

We actually decided to cancel our Cabo snorkeling excursion and just wander around town a little or stay on the ship and enjoy the peace and quiet. My family tells me I have a tendency to overplan and overschedule our vacations (who, me? :rolleyes1 ) so I am going to try to "go with the flow" for a change. :) Are the pools on the ship open while we're in port? (oops, planning again! )

Nora:confused3

I think it'll be fine if you wear the same outfit both nights or if you just wear a nice skirt and top for semi formal night. From what I've read here on the DIS, people show up in a really wide range of dress every night. For dinners, I'm going to bring a nice black dress, a black skirt, white pants and some pretty bright tops and accessories. That, along with jeans for pirate night should take care of the week!

Hey Liz, We don't need your age, we already have it from the first page.:rotfl2:

Knoxville is just 15 miles from Loudon now! We're practically family then. WOW! no I haven't back there in about 27 years. I miss those Smokey Mountains. Is the Lost Sea still a tourist trap?:rotfl2: I got pictures of my family there when I was just a tadpole.

Where we are, we are not too far away. It might be 20 or so miles- I am not very good with distance. You know, I have never been to the Lost Sea. I am assuming it is still tourist trap along with those caverns that I can't think of the name of. You wouldn't recognize Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge anymore either if it has been that long since you have been here. It is still kitschy as ever and some of the same shops are there from when I was a little girl. The mountains are still there and as beautiful as ever. MY DH and I went up and stayed at the Buckberry Lodge one weekend in December and had the nicest time. If you get this way, I highly recommend it.

Patsy - Where is that Elvis trivia? West Tennessee is like a whole 'nother state to me - LOL.
