Mexican Riviera July 20, 08...Hola Amigos

Thanks for posting us! We are: Patsy(43), DH Namen(40), DS Justin(16), DS Jeremy(13), First Dinner Seating, Cabin #2012 and we are traveling from El Dorado Hills, CA (Sacramento area) - originally from Tennessee!

We also have 3 other cabins with other family members....but probably should get permission before posting their info

Can't hardly wait for the date!:woohoo:

Hi Patsy - again - welcome aboard. My suggestion would be for you to book Palo's - depending on how many are in your personal cabin - and if they are over 18 - you are limited. Also, just book it and then call to see if you can do anything about it. If they can't help you then, try again on embarkation day. If you have any over 18 with you - book them and then switch out the names later.

On the 11-Nighter we had a table of 14. We were originally a couple of tables but on the 2nd night, they put them together. So all you can do is ask. Course we all had the same waiter. It helps if that is the case. Just try and let them know ahead of time.

Back to Palo's - on the Med last year - we had two cabins, one of the cabins had 2 newcomers and 1 CC member - due to the CC member - we were able to book 2 Palo's but couldn't ge them together - we got 8 pm and 8:30 pm. Once we boarded we went to Palo's and got them moved to one table of 5 instead of 2 separate appts of 2 and three. In the future, its probably best to see if you can get 2 CC members in different cabins. IE - I would be listed first in one cabin and DH would be listed in another. This way if anything changed - at least we would be able book at the 90 day mark.

Someone on our EBPC cruise tried to book at the 90 day mark but the couple they were linked too were newbies. The system did not allow them to book. Just try and book and then complain and ask. Disney usually does all it can to get you teogether.

Hope this helps.
Thanks so much for the info..... will keep fingers crossed for the best!

We too are on deck 2 also - can't remember but we have adjoining rooms for somewhere around 2075 or 2077. I'm sure you will see us!

Absolutely get their permission and get them to post here also.

::yes:: pretty much sounds like us - except really going to try for the Zip Lining Tour in PV.

That is so much fun. I was going to do that in Costa Rica last year but due to the fact that it was raining that day we never got around to it.

We will be having some of the same issues. There are 3 different cabins. We get to book 105 days out, but the other two are 75. We want Palo plus some of the excursions together. Especially ziplining!:thumbsup2 I'm hoping that we will be able to arrange it. Maybe if I call concierge they will help:confused3

Glad to see all the newcomers! :yay: :cheer2:

Wow! Welcome everyone that has joined us:banana:   . I'm Vern and my DW is Karen, we will be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary this cruise. We will be doing Palo's the night of 23rd. I called and asked about the reservations and they told me when you get onboard you can make changes to any res. to try to accomadate your family and size. Hope this helps:confused3 Hey Laura, praying you get well.:thumbsup2 I can't believe I've gotten so behind on our DIS board. As I've said before, we are here to help with any questions about Disneyland or California Adventure. Have a GREAT DAY!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

ok guys - almost got this stupid viral thing beat. But it is still in the house - my oldest dd came down with it. The good news is that I am on my way to being caffeine free. I've kicked it twice in the past - and both times it took about 1 week for the headaches to go away. I am now about 4 days w/o caffeine and am wondering if I can make it. Only had to take aspirin 3 times. Turns out that due to this illness - I went almost 2 days before I had a sip of soda and realized that I hadn't had any caffeine in days.

Figured that since I felt bad already how much worse could it be? :confused3 Waiting and wondering if I can make it this time. With so much traveling coming up - I'm wondering if I'm making a good decision - what do you all think?

Not much activity going on over here. :surfweb: Maybe I can get something going.

I just got my Pirate Night costume. pirate: I'm really stoked :woohoo: about pirate night. If I had loads of fun at the Pirate's Dinner Adventure show (the one near Knott's Berry Farm) than I now DCL will surpass that.

When you do that one? DD went and had lots of fun. Sounds nice. I haven't done it yet though.

We went a year and a half ago. I was randomly selected from the audience to participate in one of the events. It was fun. My DD prefers Medieval Times over the Pirate Dinner Show but I don't have a preference. (Though I liked the drinks at the Pirate one) :thumbsup2

Good to know! I just saw a commercial for Pirates Adventure - may have to go just before we leave to get me in the mood! :thumbsup2

I just received my passporter that I preordered. I have been working my way through the book and am excited. As a first time cruiser I hoped it would give us some good information. It has. I'm now counting the days to when we can make our excursion reservations.

We are also looking for where to stay the night before the cruise. We will drive down from Northern California the day prior.

Getting excited!!!!

Hey dlandfan

We just booked at the Doubletree. They have a Park and Cruise package for around 199. It is a one night stay and It also includes breakfast for 2 and parking for the week.
I understand the Holiday Inn has a package as well.

Hi everyone...just got back from DC trip. Please PM me with info needed to add anyone new to the first page. Please look at the first page and give me info you would like added. I will add you as your info comes my way. :thumbsup2

Hi Mickeys#1 Fan,
Thanks for the info. We will check out the hotels. We are now toying with the idea of driving down a day early and hitting Disneyland on Sat. A quick check showed that we may be able to stay around the park for about the same price. And who doese not want to add a day at Disneyland right? I'm a little afraid of what the crowdes may be on a Sat in the summer so we may play it by ear.

:headache: Sounds like we may need to plan a DL pre-meet - any game for this?

BTW, dd-April wants for her birthday to spend the weekend at Grand CA - so guess where we will be next weekend? Used my DVC points for the first time - does anyone else hate the DVC customer service - sorry - but they suck! Have had a hard time gaining access to the website and the lady tells me that its my fault. Boy was I  . Didn't I already explain that this is the 4th time I've registered and for some reason - I cannot access the website? Oh well, on to find someone who can help me -

Anyway, anyone game for a premeet?

Chime in!

I am game for a pre-meet. We will be at Disneyland on the 12th up until the cruise. We are planning on doing other things Sun thru Wed., but we will be doing the parks Thurs thru Sat.

I am making my final cruise payment tomorrow! :cool1:
