Mexican Riviera cruise worth it?

Didn't know that Disney was pulling out of LA at the end of the year. RATS!

Guess that's it. Can't afford it this year. Guess I'll save up and hope to be able to go out of FL or TX. Don't want to go to Alaska. My idea of a fun cruise is lying in the sun not freezing on the deck.

Well, the Wonder will be back next summer for Alaska again. The Panama Canal cruise is at the beginning of May, Miami to LA. Then a repo cruse LA to Vancouver.

Alaska for the summer. And repo Vancouver to LA in Sep. Panama Canal LA to Galveston.

I'm hoping this is just a temporary thing. We really like having a DCL ship on the west coast. I would think they could throw in a few Hawii & Pacific Coastal cruises at the beginning and end of the Alaska season, then return to Caribbean for the winter.

We did the MR twice last year. LOVED it! Did some great excursions through Disney in PV and felt very safe. We'd do it again if we could...in fact we tried, had booked December 2012 but DCL canceled our cruise. We enjoyed the Wonder and her staff was great.

The cost of airfare to Port Canaveral from LA is insane. It's totally messing with my DCL addiction!

I thought it was totally with it! Great vacation! LOVED Cabo! So beautiful, clean and friendly. I would do it again if they offered it next year. Can't beat driving only 55 miles to get to port!

I just booked a November (11th) Mexican Riviera Cruise last night! It was too good of a deal to pass up! $3066 for 4 in a VGT! We have never cruised and I have been trying to talk DH into one forever! He finally caved! I have been watching the price for the last 2 months and finally booked through Costco. We will also get $225 Costco Cash card and our Disney Visa OBC. We can drive down or fly if I can get reasonable airfare. I am so excited! Even if we never leave the ship! Though I know we will! I was able to get Palo brunch and dinner reservations too! I say go for it!

To OP this will be our 1st cruise ever & I believe it is totally worth it. I did see your follow up post. Just wanted to chime in
