Mexican Riviera Cruise with WONDERful Souvenir in the Works! 6/7 PTR Link!

I'm actually making these on Thursday! The only thing is I may not make the frosting. She uses 5 STICKS of butter for 36 cupcakes So i'll probably sub that frosting for some other type of frosting. But I'll definitely let you know how they turn out!

OMG!!! 5 sticks of butter. I didn't read the recipe yet so I didn't see that. I just looked at the pictures. 5 sticks of butter is crazy. I make different types of cookies every Christmas and it bothers me to even put 1 stick of butter but 5 sticks is a crazy amount. I would def. do another frosting.

I feel gross when I go to Costco, buy the four pack of butter (with 4 in each pack) and am completely out by the time baking is done. HOWEVER, I'm very happy that Christmas is coming AFTER my cruise. I won't have to worry about dieting as much had the cruise been after Christmas.

Oh my, I hope next weekend goes well. I would probably be quite upset if my family barged in on my plans, but then again I don't like most of them...

Hooray on the cruise paperwork arriving!!! I have to tell you, I had a horrible dream that I slept through the first four days of our cruise, I had missed everything, it was such a relief to wake up and find it didn't happen. I'm also having dreams that vacation starts tomorrow and I'm soooo excited! Now those dreams I am not happy about waking up to reality!

How in the entire world did you guys get that wine cabinet in your car in the first place, it's humongous!

Yay! An update Your pug is adorable and you will love having 2 dogs..they will keep each other company and be best buds. We have 2 dogs.. a Bichon Frise and a Scottish Terrier and they are each other's shadows so we know that when we're not home they're never lonely. Your Halloween cupcakes are so creative and yummy looking! I bet they were a big hit. Halloween was cancelled in my neck of the woods courtesy of Mother Nature we had a 6 day power outage in Northwest NJ due to a freak Oct. snowstorm and a crappy utility company who took forever to restore everyones power Your trip is getting close, you must be getting excited.

Same here! I buy both salted and unsalted. I, too, make only specific cookies for Christmas. I make sugar cookies (which I cheated this Halloween but couldn't help myself), I make Hershey's chocolate cherry cookies (my mom made them when I was little so every time I make them and smell the cherries and almond extract, it brings me back to 6 years old ), and I also make fudge, which is strictly Christmas as well. I know i'm missing something.

What do you make??

The bolded made me laugh! I'm sure all will be fine next weekend. I discussed this with my mom, and she said, if we want to go do/see/eat/drink something, we'll do it on our own. We don't have to stick with them, which is great. So if we split up and people get mad because we split up, oh well.

Oh man, not too long ago I had a bad dream about our cruise. Our alarm didn't go off and the ship had left early! I'm setting 5 alarms that day.

Luckily, DH has a truck! We couldn't do anything without that truck of his. I used to think trucks were a waste of money and space, but man, they can do a lot. Like lug large wine cabinets across the Southern part of California!

Hi! Haven't talked to you in a while!

Oh my goodness. I bet they are best friends. And that's another reason why we're getting a dog. I know Percy is just so bored whenever we're gone all day and by the time we get home, we just don't feel like playing. Having another dog around will give him more play time and hopefully keep his spirit young.

Oh my! I heard about that crazy storm you guys had. So you were without power for 6 days?!? I'm fairly certain I would go nuts after 6 hours.

I got an email and this was the sentence that it read

"Love the pictures of all the boats and water, was that the Queen Mary 2 in one of them?"

It is actually the Queen Mary, it's permanently docked in Long Beach. Now it's a hotel, museum and restaurant location. They have two great TS restaurants a couple CS and every Sunday they do a kick a$$ Sunday Brunch. Our "fireplace" wedding photo is pretty much what Alicia posted as her picture of the Queen (except imagine the two of us inserted in front of the queen! ) We got married at that hotel that she stayed at (but it has changed names since then.)

Oh wow sounds amazing! For Thanksgiving, I get asked to make extra batches of the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins that Disney makes. I got the recipe a few years ago and have been making them ever since, successfully. They really are so terrific and moist! Can't wait to get my bake on!

I absolutely will be scanning my navigators. I did that for my last TR (to the Bahamas) and i'm hoping it helped some people out. I will actually scan every piece of documentation that Disney gives me to help others out and so they can kind of expect what's ahead of them. If there's anything you want me to be on the lookout for, let me know!

Yep a puppy! We're getting him probably after Thanksgiving, and I'll definitely post a few pictures. I have one right now, but it's very blurry you wouldn't be able to make it out.

That sounds like an excellent idea. I took a tour of the Queen Mary years ago and it was very neat. Back when my dad was alive, he would take my mom there about once a year and stay a night or two.
