Those cupcakes look SOOOO delicious!! :thumbsup2

I couldn't help but notice how beautifully decorated your table is for Fall! I love Fall decorations...I have my Fall wreath hanging on my front door, Thanksgiving decorations around the house...and I also love to bake in the Fall! Sadly though, I'm not making the chocolate pecan pie this year. :sad2: My sister asked me if it would be OK if my mom makes her traditional pecan pie that we all ate for years and years on Thanksgiving, because it has been about 4 years since we had hers, and she really misses it. So, I decided that I will make the chocolate pecan pie for New Year's Eve, in addition to the warm chocolate cake that I make in the slow cooker! :goodvibes

Bonnie, they are insanely delicious!

Thank you! I just love decorating for the seasons. I'm not good at regular 'non-season' decorating though. Actually DH is really good at decorating, surprisingly. :lmao:

I love pecan pie so much. I'm actually making a pumpkin pecan pie that I saw in a magazine, and am taking it over to Dsil's on Saturday. She's having an early Thanksgiving. We'll see how it goes.

Well at least you'll ring in the new year with two awesome desserts! :thumbsup2

HA! I'm the same with the house...LOVE decorating for the seasons, but not really into it at other times! :lmao: I read Woman's Day, Family Circle, Ladies Home Journal and Good Housekeeping magazines...and guess what?!?! The first thing I always turn to is the recipes!!! :rotfl2: I usually don't even read the articles about home decor. After recipes, I read the beauty tips and articles...I'm a beauty product junkie too! That's it...travel, food and beauty products and I'm a happy camper! ;) Don't need expensive pocketbooks, designer clothes or shoes that I can't walk in...just those 3 things and I am happy! :rotfl:

I read Good Housekeeping, Martha Stewart, Rachael Ray, and whole lot of other magazines where I try to get ideas for the house, but it's just too difficult. I guess i'd rather just read the recipes too! :lmao: I LOVE beauty products. Especially anti-aging products. I love reading reviews about new beauty products and trying them out.

Ha! I don't even have time to read any of those! I do subscribe to Kraft Food and Family and they have some good recipies that are not very scratch but pretty good. Both of you should check out the WFD thread. Even if you don't post often there are some great recipies there!

Can't believe my trip is coming up so fast!

Today I printed off some more magnets that i'm going to put on our stateroom door and was looking through some of the recent Navigators. I also printed off our t-shirt designs that i'll be ironing on (as soon as I get some shirts :thumbsup2)

Also, i'm leaving in just 2 days for DISNEYLAND! :yay::woohoo: AND guess what......

We got Annual Passes! :woohoo::banana::cool1: We figured, we'll probably be back for my birthday in March, and maybe move our Thanksgiving trip up by a few weeks so we could use our annual passes again. It will save us money in the long run, I believe. We also stay at the Disneyland hotels and buy food, so there's some money we'll be saving.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to access the DIS much Friday-Monday. We'll be leaving Friday afternoon around 3:30 and will be returning home probably around 3-4pm on Monday. I could get access through my iPhone, but sometimes it's just so hard to reply on that little screen.

Nothing really new to report as far as the cruise goes. I got A LOT of Christmas shopping done the last two days. I've never shopped this early for Christmas before and I must say, it feels nice to have the majority of it done. I plan on getting more things next week before Black Friday. Anything after BF will just be smaller things for the stockings and stuff. Now i'll be able to go on the cruise without having to think of what to get for family and friends. A HUGE weight lifted off my shoulders for sure!

Have fun at Disneyland!!!

I took Gianna, my daughter, to the mall the other day and got her a few Christmas things at the Disney store. :goodvibes Starting her young...haha I don't usually start shopping for Christmas this early also but I couldn't help myself. That is really nice you are almost done. I haven't started yet. I like to wait for cyber Monday to get a nice amount of money back on ebates. :)

Hope you have a fabulous trip to DL!!! What exciting news about the annual passes! It might 'force' you guys to go a few more times than you plan. :)

When I looked at my countdown this morning and it's almost at three weeks I got really excited!

Have a great time at DL this wkend. You will be much too busy to worry about writing. We will be going for Thanksgiving and Black Friday

I have all our shopping done and just have to finish wrapping Heather's staff presents and Jackson's teacher presents. We actualy xmas shop all year and will ship the last of it out this wkend.

Have a great time and don't forget to get your picture taken with Santa.

Way to go! :thumbsup2 This is what I plan on doing too with our children one day...starting with the nursery. I love Winnie the Pooh nurseries with the light yellows, greens, and browns. So cute.

We're actually waiting for Cyber Monday for some electronic deals, hopefully.

BTW, Gianna is such a pretty name!

Pam, that's EXACTLY what DH is afraid of! :rotfl: We're leaving on the same day right?!?

That is smart to shop all year! I'll start wrapping as soon as we pull all of our Christmas decorations out, which will be Black Friday.

Are you going to Disneyland on actual Thanksgiving day?

We actually go on Thanksgiving Day. There is only the three of us here in CA (family in Rhode Island, son in Chicago, son, daughter in law and grands in Missouri) We were going to Missouri this year but with the cruise decided to stay at home. So when we are home we go to Disneyland - see the lights, snow etc. have our picture taken with santa and spend the night. This way Heather goes early on friday and can go on the rides early. Then spend the wkend decorating - our neighborhood decorates over the top.

Have a great time at Disneyland! We'll have to save that experience for February!

Thank you. I always loved the name Gianna and then I found out it is the italian version of my name, which I knew, and that it was the female version in italian of my husbands name Jonathan (Jon) and I knew it was the perfect name. :)

I love the electronic deals on Cyber Monday!!! We want to get a second LCD tv but bigger and I have been checking out the different places to see their prices.

Love the Winnie the Pooh nurseries. They have the cutest things out for that. I love the pastel colors and have seen so many Winnie the Pooh nurseries with those colors. I am still decorating her nursery and she is 4 months..haha

Pam, that's EXACTLY what DH is afraid of! :rotfl: We're leaving on the same day right?!?

We're leaving a day apart so it's practically the same! I am so in need of a break it's unreal!

I hate thinking we have to "get through" Thanksgiving before vacation. I usually love Thanksgiving! Now it's just an obstacle in the way of vacation :rotfl:

That DH :sad2: you must tell him, 'more trips to Disney a GOOD' :lmao: Who cares about travel expenses when you need to use up that Annual Pass to it's fullest extent!

Wow your family is so spread out.

I always forget about going back there to see Santa. Hopefully we can make our way back there this time so I can get a pic with him. The only picture I have with a Santa claus is this one

and I don't think it counts since it's DH :lmao:

That's right! Your trip with Arline is coming up quick too. I'm excited to hear about that one :cool1:

We'll be looking for a bigger LCD too! Right now we have a 47 inch in the living room, but our tv in our master is very little and is an old tv. It's so old in fact, it used to be DH's older brothers tv from when he was little (and his brother is now 33) so it's super stinking old. We have to fix the tv and the knobs every night in order to see the screen and hear anything. So if we find any good deals, we'll be buying a bigger tv for the living room and moving the tv that's in there right now to our room.

I don't think a mom can ever stop decorating their childs nursery :cutie: I'm pretty sure i'll keep doing it until they move out :lmao:

That's how I'm feeling right now! Usually i'm very excited about making food for Thanksgiving, now it just seems like such a burden. I think it's because i'm also feeling guilty that I won't be able to eat as much of it this year, seeing as our cruise is only 2 weeks after Thanksgiving :sad2::laughing:

Here's the thing about the Disneyland AP's. We used to live in Long Beach, so we were very close to the parks, which meant, I HAD to have AP's. Well, I love Disneyland, so we were there at least 2-3 times a month. He got completed wiped out (I, obviously didn't) so now for him to go back, he's like, "UGH NOOOOO". But I promised him we won't be rushing around the parks to try and do everything. The only things i'm really wanting to do are:

-the new Star Wars ride
-the new Little Mermaid ride
-watch World of Color
-ride the nightmare before christmas haunted mansion overlay
-and visit the new bar over at the Disneyland hotel

not too many things to ask for right? I think these are pretty reasonable requests. We shall see!

We want to replace the one in our bedroom also...haha Right now we have a small LCD in there but we can hardly see it. We want to take our big one which is either a 40'' or 42'' and put it in there and buy a bigger one for our living room. If we didn't have our 40'' or 42'' in our bedroom at one point we might be fine with the small one but we got so used to the big one...haha

Ok, I'll feel a little bad for DH. You must compromise and go somewhere he likes in exchange for Disney trips :)

I can't wait to try out the new Startours! And I have to be a bit more patient for the new Little Mermaid ride to arrive in Florida. I thought I had heard it would be done late 2012 so it would be ready for our September trip, but I think it's been pushed back further, not 100% on that though.

5 things are not too many requests at all!

And the thing with our room is that our bed is pretty far away from the tv anyways, and combine that with a 27 inch tv = bad news :lmao: It's especially hard when i'm trying to watch a movie or show with subtitles. Forget about it!

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled on Monday! :yay:

Don't feel bad for DH! After all, this is MY TR, you're supposed to be on my side Pam! :lmao:;) We'll be going to ESPN Zone for a few hours on Sunday, which is really his own request, and I don't mind doing that since I really enjoy ESPN Zone.

Okay, so I haven't been on the WDW boards in quite a while, since I haven't been planning a trip there, but all I know as of now, is that they're remodeling Fantasyland and it should be done by next Summer right? Someone had posted a link about it on one of the threads i'm subscribed to, now I can't seem to find it. Are they adding the Little Mermaid ride to the MK like the one we have at Disney's California Adventure?

This is going to be my last post, I believe until Monday :sad2: I need to pack, get my DH packed, clean the house (can NOT leave a house dirty when I go on vacation, don't know why), pack my Percy up (he'll be staying over at my mom's house since she has a covered patio and he's friends with her dogs), and do some laundry. Oh and take a shower! :crazy2:

I hope you all have a great weekend and wish us luck! We can't have what happened on our last trip, that's for sure. I think a few of you know what i'm talking about :sad2:

See you all soon! :wizard:
