Ugh, Red velvet is my favorite! Next would be chocolate..of course! And i'm definitely making pumpkin cheese cream cupcakes/muffins in the next few weeks. The Disney kind!
Btw Bonnie, I know you're getting back into working out (not hardcore like what you used to do) but are you at all interested in Pilates or using your own body weight to strength train? I found this AMAZING website called blogilates. She's out of San Francisco and all her videos are full length and free. It is tough stuff but really works in all the right areas. I've been using her stuff since last Thursday, and I'm actually excited to do her workouts. She has a lot of videos so you can change it up and not get bored. Check her out if you're ever looking for something new to try.![]()
Hi! I would love to try some new workouts, but everything I do now has to be seriously modified. I still can't lift any weight overhead, I am even very careful still about moving my arms over my head during aerobics. Basically, now I use the Turbo Fire DVDs but with a ton of modifications...I actually don't do any punching at all. Instead I do very basic moves with my arms (advice from the physical therapist). I still do the PT resistance bands twice a week, to keep the smaller muscles strong (also advice from my PT). And, I do lower body exercises...squats, stationary lunges, plie squats, and standing leg lifts while holding onto a chair for balance. For abs, I do mostly standing ab work...and by the way, even with all these modifications, I'm still in good shape and can still see my abs. I had gone at the end of August for my annual physical and blood work, and all the numbers are still great. So, I guess what I have learned is that moderate exercise is best, and I don't have to feel like I am killing myself in order to be in shape and healthy. I only wish I had known that sooner...or at least accepted it! Unfortunately for me, I had to learn the hard way by getting hurt and having surgery.

Anyway, on a lighter note...those pumpkin cupcakes/muffins sound wonderful! I LOVE everything pumpkin! I love all those Fall spices...delicious!
