Mexican Riviera Cruise April 3, 2011

I have packed a large duffel for the FE gift and a rolling carry on with the adult beverages :rolleyes1.

Costumes might need to go in a different bag already, who knew they got so heavy after 35 buttons on my costume alone!

It's going by quick now, and I still need to finish my door magnets.

You know how to tell when you have overpacked?

When you are 17 days out, have 3 bags packed, and have none of mine or DHs clothes in them... or shoes! NO SHOES! I might have to rethink those 32 matching custom Disney outfits that I have made in the last couple of weeks... (mild exaggeration :rolleyes1) LOL - I have a entire rolling duffle full of FE gifts, LOL! Thank goodness SW checks bags for free!

Anyone else have a "Don't forget this or you'll never survive" item to pack? Apparently I do... 3 suitcases full!

Some of my favorites (aside from the matchy matchy outfits, hair bows, accessories and really darling polka dotted shoes... enough about DH's wardrobe - JOKING)
Power Strip
Nightlight for bathroom
Air freshener for bathroom (what is it about cruise ship drains? - FUNKY!)
More Sunscreen than you think you'll need
Aloe for those times you didn't think you would need the sunscreen and were sorely mistaken
Sunglasses (and an extra pair because DH will inevitably loose/break his, no matter how many times you warn him not to wear them during water sports)
$1 bills for tips
Chargers for every electronic device that you are bringing
zip lock baggies for wet stuff on the return trip
Door magnets, pins, FE gifts, Tinker Bell gifts (aka bribes), autographs book/pillow case/yadda yadda, costumes, etc...
*sigh*

I'm sure there is more... I mean, I do have 3 bags packed, and I only packed stuff I won't need between now and then... LOL

You are to cute Wendy!! I am so with you. I have "two" rolling duffle bags full of FE gifts and that's it. I am so thankfull that i live 45 Mins from the ship or I would be in really big trouble:worship: OH NO.....Is there a max on how many pieces of luggage you can bring????
I need one suitcase for my shoes as well. I need to hide that suitcase from my husband so he won't freak out and ask why.... why so many shoes and then "TRY" to reason with me to not take all of them! I wanted to add not to forget some type of mug for the soda machine. Just remember to use Disney's cup to fill your mug up.

I have the moving van leaving Chicago next week to take all of the electronics chargers we need for the trip.

We ended up with a 1pm check in after completing the online check in. Does anyone know if they are strict about the time given. We would much rather be on the ship by then. Thanks.

This whole thing with choosing a check-in time is relatively new. I'm not sure whether they enforce it or not.

I wonder how they determine the time. We got a 10:30 arrival time.

Today is the official sorting of clothing day and identifying what will get packed. It also allows a buffer for us to go shopping today if need be.

Next week is the official clean the house before Mary Puppins arrives on the 27th to visit and stay with the dogs while we're gone.

11 days and we leave for Disneyland then onto the Wonder. I am so excited I can't sleep! Anyone else awake all night with me?:rotfl:

OK, fellow cruisers that are involved in the FE - I am telling you right now that you are not allowed to laugh at the FE that my daughter and I are making - at least not until you are a few feet away from our door. I can pretty much guarantee that you will have never seen anything like it. I am NOT crafty or creative, so to give you an idea of what we're talking about here - think fabric pencil cases linked together with pipe cleaners .
I will of course claim that they are solely the work of my 7 year old daughter (but those that read this board will know better). Don't worry, the things we have to put in everyone else's FEs are all bought so you don't have to worry about personally experiencing my handiwork (or lack thereof)!!!
Anyway, you have all been warned ;)
Can't believe we're 2 weeks away now!

I am glad that we are not leaving today:eek: we have had heavy rain all day, last night and it won't be letting up till Wednesday.

So sorry for those that have boarded today. Hopefully, they will have fun things inside to do.

Now to go look at packing and doing laundry :laundy:

Yesterday was the day to start "organizing" clothing for the trip. This meant dragging out the boxes of summer clothing. Nothing that we would be wearing here for about 3 more months. This "organizing" resulted in packing. We're in me ironing for over and hour. We're now about 85% to 90% packed.

I had to take ibuprofen this morning because my body ached from "organizing."

Time to pack up the SCUBA gear and everything else we arent going to use before the trip! We are so excited and ready for this vacation. pirate:

Craig,

Where did you decide to dive Cabo or PV? Are you going on your own or thru a group?

We decided to dive Cabo on the first stop. Its a two tank dive and PV was a single tank dive for the same money. Plus our dive master told us that Cabo had better diving. We are doing the dive offered through the cruise line. I dont want to worry about getting back on the ship since we are in Cabo for such a short amount of time.

So DH must think I don't have enough stress in my life:lmao: and has decided to try and get an upgrade at port:confused3 So I may need a volunteer to post the FE exchange list for me "IF" we can get an upgrade. I will bring the list to the group meet and greet. I called and was told that there are no cabins available but I want to have all options covered.

I am short-timing so hard, you guys. Can NOT wait for this vacation to begin! Especially since we're in the middle of storm-a-palooza over here and just discovered that our side yard fence blew down last night. Good thing we get along well with our neighbors, huh?

I'll be glad to post it on my door - We definitely will not upgrade at the port. This vacation has grown exponentially, as usual.
