I love the colors!! It is kind'a funny to see white tuxes with matching vests, etc to match the girl, like it was back in the 80's!!!:thumbsup2

They are a CUTE couple!

BTW, LOVE the Minnie cake!!! Sounds divine too!

Lori

Kathy, they are a gorgeous couple! Congrats on the win!

The Minnie cake is adorable.

When I told Kyle that I posted the pic he said "I hope you told them that my hair wasn't cooperating with me":rotfl2: ......he tried for over an hour to "spike it up" but it was just a bit too long.

That is ashame, I like Semolina better than Zea!!

I was VERY bummed when they closed the original Semolina in Covington-it was a little nook with about 10-15 tables- LOVED it-it was quaint and close to our house. Not crazy over Bistro Italia either. Been once. My DD10 will be even more upset b/c Semolina is her FAVORITE place to eat!!

Lori

Are you referring to the Bistro Italia on Hwy 21? That's the one we went to.

Laurie, (Did I spell that right? I forget with all our Lori's!) I didn't know Zea's & Semolina's were in the same group! I don't know about this Bistro Italia, but Zea's on St Charles is great, while the Manhattan Semolina's was not the same at all after Katrina.

It's Lauri (no e) but I know we have a lot of different spellings so no harm done!!
My MIL got us hooked on Zea's - there is a a small one in River Ridge that we went to 2-3 times a month while we were living with her after the storm. I haven't found one on the north shore, so we don't get our fix of them very often anymore. She had some past connection to the guys that started Semolina way back when they opened the first location, and knew the manager of the Zea in River Ridge.

YUP!:thumbsup2

I do not like the atmosphere at the Bistro as much-I guess that is the "family with kids" coming out. If it was a date, sure, it is a lovely place to go. I just like Semolina-I am a pasta girl(even though my hips scream, "no don't give me more pasta!!!"). My favorite is Quattro Fromaggi(very fattening buy yummo). We do not go out to eat too often, but it IS DD10'a favorite restaurant.

The original Semolina was on the corner of Boston and Tyler, in that smallish "L" shaped shopping area that has a tobacco shop, a print shop and a Dollar General-across the street on Tyler is a CVS. It was tiny and quaint and cute.

It would be an awesome way to go out in your senior year to win the championship!!

Wouldn't it just be the best way to end this year!!!!!!:goodvibes I told Kyle that the best Mother's day gift I could receive would be a championship.:thumbsup2

Kathy what a great picture! Your boy is all grown up now. Why do they have to grow up so fast?

Morning ladies..Happy Monday and Cinco de Mayo!

Well this weekend was all about DD again. Saturday she went to the hairdresser and a Laser Tag Party (she had a blast) and yesterday we went to church and the High School Musical show (it was nice). I was able to watch a few movies I rented as well as catch up on a little reading.

Okay what are you ladies doing for Mother's day? DD and I will be hanging in BR with my mom and sister Saturday and Sunday morning. A group of my female cousins and I are treating our mother's to a dinner on Saturday night at a nice restaurant and Sunday morning we are having a brunch. Then DD and I head back home to spend the day with DH.

Lorie - where are you? we are seriously missing you and Sienna! I hope nothing is wrong! Since we have not heard from you in about 2 weeks I hope you were not one of the "banned" members. :confused3

Later

Tonight is the Senior Prom, hope the weather gets better, Kyle's wearing a "white" tux.:guilty:

Well for the third straight year we're heading to the state finals!!! Kyle pitched an awesome game last night in Morgan City to secure us a spot. We'll be going to Shreveport on Thursday and hopefully we'll do better than second place this year!!!!:cheer2:

Way to go Kyle & team! Give us a wave as y'all are headed thru toward Shreveport!

I love the colors!! It is kind'a funny to see white tuxes with matching vests, etc to match the girl, like it was back in the 80's!!!:thumbsup2
I agree with Lori - that pic nearly matches my own Jr. prom pic (with future DH)! My dress was that exact same color! Of course, the style wasn't nearly so elegant - taffeta, tea-length poufy skirt, sweetheart neckline....verrrry mid-80's!

Happy Monday everyone!

Hey Y'all,

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!!

This is a celebrated holiday in our house! (It's actually DD's birthday;) )

Sounds like everyone had a nice weekend!

Kathy, So glad they won the game!!!:cheer2: And Kyle looked so nice for the prom! Nice but too grownup! Hugs for Mom.

Stephanie, Great Job on the Minnie Cake!!! What was the bow made of?

Bravo's was pretty good Saturday Night. The prices seemed higher than the last time we were there, $15-$16 for ravioli with no sides. I had rack of lamb that was delicious & a large serving with mashed potatoes. But DH had a ribeye that was so fatty most of the steak was inedible. I'd recommend sticking with pasta.

Has anyone tried pm'ing Lorie or Mary?

Hey everybody! :wave2:

Sorry I've been MIA- I wasn't banned, but I decided to take a little DIS break after all of the bannings- it just left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been lurking these boards since 2000  and the whole thing just kinda bummed me out.

We've been very busy- DH went to Pensacola for a week for work ( ) and came back a couple of days ago smelling of beach and sand (and getting sand all over my house when he unpacked :headache: ) and complaining how tired he was after that week. Waah, waah, whatever. I'm just a little bitter....:rotfl:

So while he was gone, it was all Sienna, all the time. She has been having some behavioral problems lately, a whole lotta crying and tantrums- a whole lot! It's not so bad that I'm about to call Nanny 911 just yet, but bad enough that I wake up in the morning and just pray that it will be a more peaceful day than the last. Ugh! I need a mommy vacation!

On that note, only four months until our trip- yay!!!!!

Lorie, So glad you're here & not one of the Banished!!! We've missed you a bunch! Sorry that your sweet girl is not being very sweet! You must be worn out, after a week of Mommying a testy 2 year old all by yourself! Only words of wisdom I can offer, This too shall pass! Sorry I wish I was wiser!
