On the hot dogs, I only eat the fat free turkey dogs.

I've got to put a call in to my Dr., ankle is not any better.

Hopefully, the doc will have some answers for you.

Reggie wouldn't keep still.

Kathy, I'm sorry resting it didn't help! I pray that the dr figures out something before the trip.

Please pray for Alexis. She is on her way back to the dr. complained of stomach pain all night, had diarrhea. Now she is crying that she hurts all over & is running fever. Chris is actually hoping it might be the flu, it would be better than something internal again. I told her to make sure they test & confirm flu before leaving there!

Poor thing...I hope its not the flu but if it is get TAMIFLU!

Haley woke up with fever today, and I found out that she didn't eat anything healthy yesterday at all! No, I do not keep tabs on what is going in esp when we have that many people over. She admitted to me she didn't have a hotdog b/c they looked scary(the red ones-blech, cough cough blech) and she never ate any of my chili either- so she was coasting along all day on SUGAR-then chicken for dinner.
Ashton asked me if she could have a hotdog (b/c she ASKS for everything that she has to make a choice about and I am working on her making her own darn choices-smart ones hopefully) and I just gave her "the look". She had one anyway and I just cringed her whole way through it.

I told her afterward why I didn't want her to have it, and she had asked me in FRONT of my DB , whom I was trying not to offend about the stupid RED hotdogs.

I HATE to admit this b/c I hate swaying people about things I have read that could worry them about cancer- but I will share b/c it would explain my hotdog aversion: I obviously used to read a lot about leukemia and in one really interesting book, the last chapter was about POSSIBLE causes of the darned cancer. Besides some obvious ones like living next to a electricity substation and lots of exposure to chemicals or radiation, or having a previous bout with chemo-one was EXCESSIVE hotdog consumption. We NEVER had a problem with that anyway, and I was the mom who cringed at giving my babies those meat stick things in a jar or vienna sausages, anyway. I guess it was just something my mom gave us as kids and it was up there on my "don't ever buy it list" with spam. So my poor kids were denied the probably healthy Gerber meat sticks. In fact I was so paranoid of a mom that when Haley was a baby, I rarely even bought jarred baby food- I MADE it and froze it in ice trays. For Ashton, I didn't think twice about jar food. But I did get the frozen organic kind a good bit.

Wow, I was a bit paranoid even before Ash had cancer!!

Anyway- no hotdogs are bought here- maybe 1ce a year on a crazy day.I am SURE I have friends who can see the look on my face as my child consumes a hotdog and get some laughs from me!! Thankfully, MOST of my family knows the hotdog thing and how I feel about it, and knew what I was thinking when my CANCER SURVIVOR CHILD WAS CONSUMING A RED NASTY CANCER DOG. Thankfully I have ONE child who can make a decision on her own using common sense!!

In my brothers defense(???)- it was about the bottom line- he paid 19 CENTS a pack!!!

BTW- would someone like to share a yummy kid friendly chicken soup recipe with me??? Please???

I am freaking out. Right after my last post I received a call from a collection agency. Apparently someone opened a CC acct in my husband's name last November! The worst is that my husband was in this business with a cousin. Tim tried to cal him after I let him know about the card but he didn't answer. Brother, what a mess this could be! This guy-if he's the one- is the son of my MIL's sister. She's such a nice woman. I'm hoping that someone just took the application out of the mail box. However, it seems like they'd need the SSN to apply. That would be on onld tax returns. We never received any notices because the bills were sent to the business. No payments have been made on the $8000.+ balance since Feb. We can get it fixed but I hate that this might cause bad feelings in the family. Once Tim speaks to the cousin, I'll know more.

Just posted that someone-probably Tim's cousin- opened a CC card in Tim's name. The reason we think it's a cousin is because it was opened through a business that Tim was affiliated with but left 10 years ago.
I am totally freaked out. Right after my last post, I received a call from a collection agency about the acct. It was opened last November and the last payment on the $8000+ balance was made last Feb. We never received any statements because they were sent to the business address. It could be that someone took the application oiut of the mailbox but if the applicant needed Tim's SSN, then that could have been accesses on old tax returns in the office. There was only the cousin and 1 other person working there.
If it's the cousin, this will be such a family mess! The guy's mom is my MIL's sister. She is so sweet.
UGH!!!! I'm nauseated over this.

Serena – I’ve been icing and elevating as much as possible. The doctor is putting me on steroids now, hoping this works.

Julie – Reggie is adorable! I’m so sorry about the credit card ordeal. I’ve had fraudulent charges on both my debit and credit cards many times and it is a royal pain in the butt. But I can’t imagine how much more difficult this will be since it involves family. Prayers for you.

Sheryl – I can’t imagine how scared little Alexis must be. I’ll be praying for a speedy, painless solution for her. I will be praying for all of you during this time. Wish I could do something to help.

hope your foot heals soon Kat. you can always get a scooter-prices aren't bad, they deliver to you and you can get on and off buses pretty easily.

oh so sorry about the credit card thing Julie - that happened last time we tried to refi. spent much more time clearing it up thatn the folks did to get the card and use it. hope it is cleared up quickly and with the least bit of headaches!
