Hi peeps...I have been super busy. Yesterday we were at a all day crawfish boil with friends. Today i have been cooking like a made person so I don't have to tomorrow. DD and I are about to make chocolate covered strawberries and die eggs. FUN, FUN, FUN!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Easter weekend. In case I am unable to log back on tomorrow I wish everyone a Blessed Easter!

Terry, I made a batch of chocolate strawberries today. I only have two left lol .

Kids had a great time today. All the eggs were found, no kids were hurt and no one fought. Def ate too much candy and junk and apparently Jack kissed one of the little girls . The little girl was very pleased with herself about it lol.

We are headed to the bed very soon. The E.B. needs to be able to make his rounds early.. gotta hit 9 am mass and Im sure we will be up very early to check out the goods.

Hi All,
Just wanted to thank you all for the prayers for my brother, Charles, and our family. Charles passed away last night very peacefully after a short but painful battle with Cancer. I will miss him but conforted in knowing that he is no longer in discomfort.

Thank you and best wishes to all of you. Kat has a great group of friends here.

Alligator Pear. It's in this snazzy shopping center that looks like it could fit in at WDW. It has this baby store in the complex that was selling a crib for $1400 and a dresser for $1900.

It's not been a great week for me here -

Hi y'all!

Had a great time with Bethany, Cara, Kristina & her adorable daughter Gracie yesterday! BUT like Tricia said the traffic was horrendous.

Gotta get back out there and get my Easter groceries to start my cook-a-thon.

Yes, I had a great time at lunch too! I am so glad that I finally made it to Alligator Pear to check it out... we will have to do that one again!

Lauren - I'm so very, very sorry for your loss. That is so close to home. I'm so sorry especially for their children.

It's not been a great week for me here - but it has not been someone as close to me as sibling. My sister (12 years younger) has had multiple brain surgeries (holes in lining, spinal fluid leaking out) in the past 3-4 years, but is doing ok now after losing 100 pounds.

This week a close friend's father died - which is about a year and a half after her husband died. It has been hard for her. She is an only child too.

Another dear, dear friend of mine lost her oldest son 6 years ago in a tragic backyard accident (electrocution) - his widow (mother of their 3 now teenage children) fell this week and has a major traumatic brain injury. Sort of like Natasha Richardson. She is on life support, but they will most likely be turning it off this weekend. I just feel so sorry for these children that have lost 2 parents to weird in home accidents. And then my friend (mother and mother in law of this tragic couple) just lost her sister-in-law a couple of days after the accident.

Sorry to be such a downer here. In some ways I think it is good that this is happening (if it had to happen at all) just before Easter. All of these families have a very strong faith, and I know that will be of comfort.

My dad has spent the past few days telling me that he is not well enough to go to my aunt's for Easter dinner - where he always enjoys himself. But he is now out gadding about visiting all of the senior centers where his friends live. He just wants me to beg him to go tomorrow.

I'm taking my sister to the airport at 4:15 am tomorrow morning for her trip to Hawaii. She is using free miles and has a friend to stay with so it's almost a free trip. I was hoping to find a very, very early church service to go to afterwards (the kind I never get up early enough to go to on Easter) - but none of them even start until 7:30. I may be back asleep by then!

Thanks Kathy. My 2nd cousin called a few nights ago and totally caught me off-guard at an "off" moment and asked if I would go. I had just put DD to bed after a hard day and was very tired and I just didn't have a lie made up in my head. Conversation went something like:
Her: "So what are you doing for Easter?"
Me: "Oh, not much- Todd is working headache"
Her: "So you can come to the family Easter gathering then!"
Me: "Er, um, uh, I uh, I guess...."

So I hope it goes well!

Right now I'm waiting for DH to get up so we can do the Easter egg hunt we set up for DD- before the ants carry off the stuffed eggs! (they are filled with mini peanut butter cups and jelly beans )

DD is having a ball right now spreading Easter basket grass all over the house- she's having a great time!

Funny, Jenny, my youngest doxie, Sncikers, was doing that today. He had a whole egg in his mouth that my DN18mos was tryng to get. She kept saying "puppy!,,..... Puppy!"

We were asked to be my newest nephews Godparents!!! I am thrilled. We have 5 Godchildren b/t the 2 of us-2 being both of our Godchildren, the others being mine,or his. So I have 4 and he has 3! I guess since God didn't give us more of our own, we got our nieces and now our nephew!

First, I wanna say I am sorry.....

I wished I would have thought to have you all over for my corny Mickey Moms party for a couple reasons...
1. you wouldn't think it was corny
2. you could appreciate my big red box of goodies

BUT , instead, I had previously told a friend or 2 that I was having it for some homeschool friends who have never been and/or planning a trip this year. So it is.

I am looking forward to it but really am missing out an all your fun!
I had NO idea kids were out ALLLLL week, so a couple of my girls traditionally schooled friends have been calling and asking for time with them.... and I am a sap. So, tomorrow we will spend a couple hours with friends, then we will come home and do Stanford pre-test thingy I got for busy work, then have our Mickey party.

I thought they were off Good Friday and maybe a couple days after.

I am mad at myself for poor planning...

To make myself feel a tad better, I will balm it on the fact I have been working a lot more lately and my head has not been "home".

Have fun friends, you all have BIG hearts. Thanks, once again, for letting me vent, this time it has more to do with you, though!!

Lorie...how'd the family get together go?

So my mom calls me today to wish me a Happy Easter, then proceeds to tell me that my grandmother is mad at me for not giving her my new address. WHAT new address. I do not HAVE a new address.

Now, my OTHER grandmother DOES have a new address, but she did NOT move. They went through her neighborhood and re-numbered everything. What a pain in the behind. She DID tell us that we did not have to use the +four part of the ZIP+four, because nobody over there uses the +four part. I don't have the heart to tell her that nobody anywhere uses the +four part.

Can't wait to see some of you tomorrow!
