Methotrexate

I took methotrexate for a few years, for lupus and RA.

I didn't feel like it helped at all. So they kept upping the dose. But I still didn't get any relief. They had me switch to shots rather than pills, because the pills were making me throw up. The shots were a little better, but I still had an upset stomach with them.

I tried a couple of different biologics. None really helped. Then we tired Actemra. WOW. What a difference.

If it will make you feel any better, I've come across drug that list as a potential side effect "Sudden Death Syndrome".

Ive been on it over ten years for psoriatic arthritis. It helped for a while by itself, then had to add Enbrel. Recently went off Enbrel and i'm doing ok so far...but various pains are popping up again, so we'll see if I have to add it back in. I get blood work every 8 weeks. No issues. Good luck!
