metal detectors/sparkly shirt?

This is probably a really silly question, but do rhinestone studded shirts set off the metal detectors in the airport? I have a really cute twin-set that I would like to wear, but not if I bing when going thru security!

I do not know for certain, but I doubt it. My husband has a metal screw in his wrist and the detector does not go off.

I wouldn't wear it. Unless you want to spend extra time at security. Some detectors are more sensitive than others.

That makes me feel better. I have a metal plate in my neck and was a little concerned.

I would be prepared to answer questions about the metal plate. I travel quite a bit and see lots of folks explaining why the detector went off.
