I did not see this as a rant - I recall the threads you have cited and I did not find them to be impressive at all - we own 663 points (don't ask about the weird number) and frankly do not care who owns less or more - it is not relevant to us as long as we have courteous neighbours
I currently have 3 on my ignore list of which 2 are not even DVC owners - they post on the other boards I post on and I prefer not to see their comments
Originally posted by Tagrel I think the point that is being missed is that posters don't have to snipe, belittle and judge one another. You can very easily state your own, honest opinion without insulting others.
And when you feel that a poster's negativity far outweighs anything useful they share with the community, that ignore feature comes in mighty handy. Thanks for the reminder!
After my recent jet-setting weekend at BWV 2 weeks ago, I bought 500 points at SSR. I now own 2000 points. I still park at the Polynesian for easy access to MK, still try to find bargains on the boards, and sometimes over crowd my room. I do this by leaving my driveway and going to WDW. Being one of the "upper crust" with regards to points, it doesn't bother me that others do this. It's half the fun. It's great knowing all the tricks that the "commoner" to WDW won't know.
I could care less about everything in this or the other thread.... except this single point.
I can not count the number of times I have spent lots of money, or lots of points on Poly/Poly concierge. At times it is very hard to find a parking spot, unless you go to the back row.
Not speaking to you personally, but I do wonder what the thought process is behind taking a paying customers parking spot, so they can have "easy access to MK".
I just read the first page of this, and while we own more than that 225 points, what my wife and I cannot stand are those members who act like we are some kind of interloppers (you know who you are).
I'm sure that there are some really wonderful families not like this that stay at OKW, but every time we have just stopped by there, we immediately get that feeling - which is why we never have stayed there.
What I would say is we are just like a family - one that has old rich uncles who look down on us folk who may have a few bucks now, or are still just trying to get by!
I feel bad that there are folks who feel that they can not post on this board for fear of being attacked. Please don't feel that way. Whether you have 150 or 2500 points, we are still all in the same boat and are a much stronger unit as a result of this board. Don't let some individuals get you down.
BTW I tried that ignore button on my 16 year old DD and it didn't work. Help!!!!!
