Merrytime Cruise decorations and presents

Sorry feel way out of my league with the cruise planning...

We will be on the Dream on Christmas morning - when we board will it be ok to have wrapped gifts in my suitcase or should I wrap gifts/use gift bags after we are on board?

Has anyone done the inroom Christmas decorations? Care to share pictures

I have not been during this time (though it is a dream). My view is that if there is any security, don't wrap. I know if TSA is confused with the image they see in the X-ray, they can have the present unwrapped. Since all cruise lines use the same X-ray security, I would follow the same rule.
Though, to save room in luggage, don't bring the rolls, take the paper off the rolls and fold it (bags and tissue paper travel well too). If you do want to wrap and require scissors, bring the duller child safety ones and put them in checked baggage (for airplane and cruise). I HAVE travelled with scissors (both plane and cruise) and I have not had a problem using this method.

As noted, if your flying with the gifts, it's best to travel with them unwrapped. If you're going directly to the ship, no issue with having them wrapped.

Thank you we will be driving in, so no worries - just wasn't certain how serious the bag check would be and didn't want to waste time wrapping if they were going to have to be unwrapped. likely will be DVDs and very portable items as the Cruise is the largest part of her Christmas anyway.
