Merry Eats at DL/DCA this Year?

It differs from Restaurant to Restaurant.

Café Orléans serves Espresso in the Demitasse with two Mickey Mouse-shaped Beignets sprinkled with Powedered Sugard on the side.

Plaza Inn serves a Candy Cane Chocolate Pot de Crème Peppermint Cake in the Demitasse with a Christmas Tree Sugar Cookie on the side.

The remaining restaurants (Blue Bayou, Wine Country Trattoria and Storytellers Café) will serve a Panna cotta with Chocolate and Créme in the Demitasse, accompanied by a Christmas Tree Sugar Cookie on the side. A Panna cotta is an Italian dessert made by simmering cream, milk and sugar together, mixing with gelatin, and letting it cool until it sets (thank you Wikipedia :)).

Candy Cane Chocolate Pot de Crème Peppermint Cake in the Demitasse with a Christmas Tree Sugar Cookie on the side sounds excellent!!!! I hadn't even planned a Plaza Inn visit this time, but I may have to go in for that! Yum!

That has got to be the longest name for a dessert EVER!
:rotfl:

That is exactly why I copied and pasted it from the PP's post - I knew I wouldn't be able to remember all of that or spell it right or whatever!:rotfl: But the words 'peppermint cake' caught my attention - that sounds amazingly good. And that is all I will remember of the name of the dessert, so if I go into Plaza Inn, I will just say 'peppermint cake" and hope they know what I mean!:thumbsup2

Yeah- the word "Pot" should not be used when describing food...;)

That's great! I love those pictures! Those are perfect articles/slide shows to go into this whole thread! I noticed some scrumptious looking cupcakes in one of those pictures! I wish they had shown pictures of the Mickey gingerbread man cookies too!

I don't have a picture, but there is a special caramel apple at Pooh Corner and on Main Street that I saw on the day after Halloween this year. It is a snowman candy apple which is achieved by placing a marshmallow head on top of the apple and covering the whole thing in white chocolate. The other cute touch is that they each have a little scarf that appears to be made out of a flat sour candy strip that comes in different colors/flavors.

Oh my goodness, that sounds so good! That might have to be my special treat this trip! (I wish I could eat my way through the park, but I really try to limit myself since we'll go pretty often with our passes).

 mmmmmm in the last picture, just to the right of the made in Disneyland sign... does anyone know what that is? candy cane bark maybe?

Yep! It looks like peppermint bark! I saw that last year and wanted a sample, but we were too rushed for me to stop and get one. I also would like to try the peppermint fudge.

Okay, it's only 7 a.m., but I'm officially drooling! :rotfl: We're leaving in 2 weeks from today (yea :) ) and I am definitely tracking down anything that has chocolate and/or peppermint in it!! :yay:

Hey, you will be there at exactly the same time I am! I am also leaving in two weeks, on a peppermint hunt!! I don't know how long you are staying, but I am there from 19th - 22nd. I should have my LGMH dangling from my bag somewhere, so look for me!

Those snowman apples are so cute!!!!! I love those!!!!

I make peppermint fudge, it's easy just make regular fudge but put in half a bag of peppermint choc. chips instead of the regular. :)

It's not vanilla, it's just regular chocolate but I sub some mint choc. in there. I can give you the recipe when I get home, it's super easy too because it's a microwave recipe! :)

That would be excellent!! :cool1: chocolate is yummy too, and with mint....
I make a peanut butter butterscotch rocky road type (with mini marshmallows and chunky peanut butter) fudge that is super easy too, it's the only one I've ever been able to do! It gets gobbled up when I make it.
The last time I had the candy cane bark, it did not have sprinkles on it like that..... it's sooooooo good!
I see they don't have holiday mocha's this year. I don't know what they used to put in them, but I was addicted to them! I am going crazy waiting to be there for all the goodies as much for the rides!! :santa:
