Not including the handmade candy canes (which you have to time right to experience anyways), what other holiday treats should I be expecting this year?
Don't they also have actual entrees as seasonal specials? Or am I misinformed?...
I think you may be right. I seem to vaguely recall reading somewhere that there are some special dishes at certain restaurants for the holiday season, but I am not sure which restaurants they are. Hopefully, someone will know the answer to that and post soon!
Ooooohhh...good question! I was wondering the same thing! Other than the candy canes, I know they always have those adorable gingerbread men with Mickey ears and peppermint fudge and peppermint mocha, but I am sure they will have something new for this season and I can't wait to hear what it is (or better yet, see pictures of the treats!)!!! Maybe they will have special holiday caramel apples in Pooh's Corner?
woohoo!
thanks so much for posting this glendalais!
do you know if these treats will be still around during jan 4?
I don't have a picture, but there is a special caramel apple at Pooh Corner and on Main Street that I saw on the day after Halloween this year. It is a snowman candy apple which is achieved by placing a marshmallow head on top of the apple and covering the whole thing in white chocolate. The other cute touch is that they each have a little scarf that appears to be made out of a flat sour candy strip that comes in different colors/flavors.
There may be some items still available, but probably not the entire selection, since they'll want to start transitioning back to the normal menus.
here's one from the disney's website a couple more on the site along with the history of the candy cane

I am excited to see they are selling peppermint ice cream somewhere in DLR! Yay! I cannot remember the last time I ate peppermint ice cream, but I LOVE it. It brings back fond memories for me!![]()
I am glad to see that you know that there will be peppermint ice cream at DLR, Sherry. They are selling Dreyer's in our local Albertson's now but I am sure it is not nearly as good as eating peppermint ice cream in Disneyland!
Thanks for making some holiday magic for the Dis'ers, glendalais!![]()
