Merida meet and greet bow & arrow only

Has any one did the Merida meet and greet but got in line for the bow and arrow shooting only? We have boys and I do not believe they would care to meet Merida but would love to shoot the bow an arrow. They did enjoy this movie and thought this would be fun. For any one out there that did this is there a very long line for just the bow and arrow? we would probally head there before going to lunch at 11:30 depending one how long the wait would be.

Did they explicitly say they didn't want to meet Merida? Or is it just because of the time constraints? If they liked the movie they might enjoy the meet and greet as well. Couldn't they talk about shooting bows and arrows?

I have one boy out of the three that may be intressted in meeting Merida. One is too shy and it is "not cool" the other could take it ot leave it. time would be an issue however.

oh that is too bad. important info though for we would just choose a ride then. I hope others will post in order for us to know if they are still doing that or not.

How about doing the archery experience at Fort Wilderness? It is extra but is 90 minutes and they get to shoot more than one bow. Do you have a conservation league near your house? They usually offer programs there too, that may be better than waiting in a long line to get a chance go shoot once.

I was mainly looking at an activity to do at MK. I want to cut down our walking since we are going with my older parents. They are very active but I know 5 days back to back parks will be hard on them. I want to narrow our day to two sections in the MK so we are not doing a lot of back and forth walking. This was one activity while we were doing Fantasy land and Tommorrow land that I thought the kids would enjoy but it is an activity that we may be pressed for time.

Not sure if they still do it, but in our experience (two times), the kids literally shot the arrow one time, even if they miss the target. I would not get in Merida's long line for something that lasts mere seconds. Not worth it.

Exactly. Our daughter shot once and they moved on.

While my daughter and I were waiting to see Merida last week, I saw a mom of two boys ask if her sons could try the archery without waiting in line to meet Merida. They allowed it.

My BFF and I waited maybe 15 min. WE got right in, just had to wait our turn in line for photo and m+g.

Go at rope drop and your wait will be 20 minutes Any later it will be longer.

Honey and GD took off at rope drop. They were 3rd in line. By the time i got there there was about 40=50 people already in line. She doesn't come out until 9:15

For the record- the bow and arrow is not guaranteed (it is still done, but there are days where it won't be out). Also, for OP- you do have to wait in the outside queue line to shoot the bow and arrow (if it is being done), even if you don't plan on meeting Merida.
