Meredith's been there a month....

I like Ann and Matt together too. They all seem to work so well together Al, Matt, Anne. Meredith seems too stiff for the group.

I'm going out on a limb here, but didnt Ann say NO to taking Katie's place? (please don't flame me )

I don't know if she was asked. I know Meredith met with Matt in Dec. or Jan. to see how their chemistry was and she said she thought about it for several months before she decided.

Maybe they talked to Ann before they talked to Meredith, anyone know?

I've only gotten to see a few shows on days I work at home, but it does seem that Meredith is trying a little too hard. Matt and Katie seemed to have some kind of a sibling type relationship, he could tease her about things being all about her, she would tease him about being a germaphobe or whatever-and it all seemed to work. Meredith tries to tease with him but it doesn't have the same ring to it. It's more forced. Maybe it will get better over time.
I think the move to Nightly News was a HUGE mistake for Katie. I watched the first night, then went back to Brian Williams.

I agree! I think it's going to be hard for people to take Katie seriously after 10 years of being a goof ball! I think that the chemistry, for the lack of a better word, that Matt and Katie had developed over time. I can't imagine that it was instant. I'm sure that Meredith with start to relax and come into her own within time! I watched her today and she seemed to be pretty good. I would be nervous too if I was replacing "America's sweetheart". Them's big shoes to fill!!!!

I can't watch the Today show until Christmas. I don't like Katie on the evening news. She's not a good fit. Meredith would have been better. I think Rosie's fine on the VIEW. Barbara is valiantly trying to keep control but losing. It doesn't matter. America loves Rosie and those that don't weren't watching the liberal VIEW anyhoo. Exceptions granted.

I must be watching way too much Grey's Anatomy because my first thought was "Where has Meredith been for a month" - and why don't I know about it!!!!
