Merchandise Discount

So I don't know if anyone else gets the Disney Store emails, but I got one today about Dooney & Bourke Disney bags going online now - which makes me really happy, because they're so cool.

However, I wondered - I really want one, but could definitely wait to get it at the World if it counts under the merchandise discount. Does it? If so, I would wait until we get 50% off merchandise and get it then, if that's allowed.

Yep. The Dooney & Boorke bags are eligible for the discounts. I got mine in January during the 50% off discount. I got the bigger sketch design one for around $90.

I'm not sure if you're talking about discounts for booking the cruises or for merchandise on the cruise. Discounts for booking cruises range from 10%-50% & up depending on when you book. I'm guessing that merchandise discounts on the cruise is 20%. That's what it is during the year at the parks & at the Disney Store.

I think starts in November... I don't know exactly when, day-wise, it starts, but it's the holiday discount - this year I believe it went to January?

Now they didnt annouce the 50% until later on in the holiday season. Its not always guarenteed that they are going to have it. I think it depend's on how Disney's merchandise is selling. I know with the 50% I spent WAYYY more money than I planned on. Even with the discount.

Last Fall it started in November and ended up getting extended til Feb 11th, but it was blocked out for Thanksgiving/X-mas weeks like the block out dates for the maingate pass as well.
